I hate that I hear people say Michigan lost that game. Such a discredit to Carolina. That Heels team was loaded, Donald Williams was a stud that tournament.

Ben Howland interested in Rutgers job? http://www.nj.com/rutgersbasketball/index.ssf/2013/04/former_ucla_head_coach_ben_how.html
Siva with a terrible job on the last possession there Louisville had about 16 seconds. He runs it all the way to 3 seconds before doing anything, and his choice was to chuck a deep 3, which naturally missed. You want to start moving with at least 6 remaining and try to create a shot. also meant the tip wouldn't count because he waited too long. Wichita State up 1 at the half.
Vitale completely clueless about Henderson. The reason Henderson barely has any stats is because he's a walk on who was only really playing in garbage time. However, with the injury to Ware, Henderson became the primary backup at guard. Neither announcer seems to be aware of this.
Wowwww. Good win for Louisville, but that was the quickest jump ball call ever. Hancock had his hand on the ball for like .1 of second and his arms on the Wichita player's arms for the other second.
Yeah ref with a quick whistle, trying to be a star. At least in this case, the game wasn't tied or anything. Louisville was most likely going to win, it just robbed a potential buzzer beater shot attempt. Watching it in real time, I was shocked by the call. Watching it slow-mo just shows how little time Hancock had "possession" of the ball. Maybe .5 seconds, probably less
that late charge called on Triche, the defender was sliding under him and not set also was very close to being in the restricted area, they didn't give a good look at that
Man CUSE had some tough calls go against them late. Their one player got called for blocking (he did flop) then on the other end got called for an offensive foul when someone flopped on his screen. NCAA gotta work on training these college refs. Start with charge/block. Also Michigan is going to have to learn to hit free throws and break full court pressure on the inbounds pass if they want to beat Louisville. They had so much trouble against the Cuse pressure late in the game and Louisville loves using it all game
I thought the offensive fouled on the screen was a good call, but the charge call that fouled out Triche (I think) was utter horseshit, as was the blocking call on the other end for Michigan before that which was clearly a charge on Michigan.
the officiating was atrocious. they also no called about 4 moving screens on McGary despite all of that Syracuse had chances late and blew them.
Carter-Williams and Triche both wound up fouling out, and both were a result of blown calls. The 4th on Carter-Williams was a "block" where the offensive player shoved him out of the way. The 5th on Triche was where a defender slid under him and they called it a charge. Refs were atrocious and heavily impacted the ending, where Syracuse was without its top 2 guards.
Of course the second point has a lot to do with the first; dubious calls led them to lose their top 2 guards, and then their execution down the stretch was unsurprisingly awful.
Maybe the NCAA will take a hard look at their refs this offseason (especially with Ed Rush situation) and start training them better. I do not know what is charge/block in college basketball. Both final four games ended on controversial ref calls. And boy oh boy, there is no way to stop flopping in college basketball really. You can't fine the the players, they don't make money. Making it a foul call just gives the refs more power and more calls to potentially mess up. Louisivlle-Michigan should be fun though. Really hope Siva gets going as he is so much fun to watch and Wichita had him under control for the most part
