That they do. While I said that hiring Coles speaks well of JSO, I mostly meant that this particular decision was a good one rather than suggesting that they must be an overall awesome department. Hopefully he'll have a positive impact!
What an amazing and interesting article. Coles is, was and always will be one of my favorite Jets. He took shit from no one and did his job. You being a former LEO, what IS that? It's not just people's background either. A LOT of LE (not all of course) are holier than thou about a whole crap ton of stuff, basically everything. I call it the "walk on water" syndrome. They "walk on water" while the rest of us swim or sink. It's a real problem all over the world but it's on steroids in this country. Especially in certain areas of the country. And that's IF you are a white guy. I can't even imagine what it's like for anyone not white. Just blows my hair back. And this whole "blue wall" bullshit. Ok, I'm digressing, just thought I'd get it out there. You know, the one thing that stood out to me in that fantastic article was how other players acted to Coles when he came out about his abuse. What in the fuck is that? I swear, the further down the path our species goes, the less intelligent I'm absolutely CERTAIN some are. It's as if the species is going backwards in some cases. Can't believe his step-dad basically got nothing but a slap on the wrists. Child molesters should be executed, in public, not put in jail. BTW, @jetophile, Zach Thomas was a bitch. I'd LOVE the opportunity to tell that to his face one day.
