trade sanchez for the guy that signed a big contract and was so impressive he lost out to a rookie 3rd round draft pick?

So you're saying in a Sanchez/Flynn swap you believe Jets are winning that trade?

Flynn's cap cost is way less than the 18 million that Tannenbun saddlethe Jets with by extending the Turnover Machine.

So a swap will happen when pigs fly.

Instead let TM rot on the inactive list for a year and sign a real starter in Matt Moore who costs no precious draft picks and can play

Agree that there's no way Seahawks would agree to that swap. Jets screwed up and should not be expecting some other franchise to rescue them.

This is why I'm also hoping Matt Moore is acquired. No picks, he's cheap & he won't suck so badly that I can't even watch Jets football on Sundays. Matt Moore is fine as a stopgap QB for 1-2 seasons.

What about paying Sanchez 5mil to just walk away and choose his own next team as a FA?
Can restructure his contract, give him 5mil, cut him, and eat the 5mil hit?
It's better than eating a 17mil hit, or paying him 8mil to be a backup.
Then Sanchez gets to pick his own team, and try to earn a contract.

If he won't play ball, then yeah let him rot on the inactive list for a year.
He'll have 0 value after the season (if not already)

You mean that rookie 3rd round draft pick who's already better than 75% of the QB's in the league? Yeah ... good point ... how did he ever get beat out by THAT guy?? He must really suck. Let's just keep Sanchez. He's fine.

Sanchez has proven he is the worst qb in the NFL. Flynn hasn't proved that yet, or we wouldn't want him.

Let's just get Flynn and Sanchez in the same room at the same time. That would prove beyond any doubt that Matt Flynn is definitely NOT Mark Sanchez. That's good enough for me.

With Pettine flying over to Buffalo, swap could be in the works....oh wait, he was a rat, not a pig. Nevermind.

Looks like something we all can agree on! Makes no sense for Seattle to trade Flynn for Sanchez.

I wouldn't give up on Sanchez just yet.
I say bring in some legitimate competition and a QB coach/OC known for developing QBs and let's see what we can do with him.

Not only no, but fuck no. His completion percentage isnt much better thaqn Sanchez, with more experience, and a better offesive system, then he got beat out by a rookie.

I guess four career playoff road wins, sux for you.

How about getting a real OC first.

4 road playoff wins, after 11 games from his last High school start.

I can't see why Seattle would even consider this.

Jets couldn't give up on Sanchez even if they wanted to. With that contract he's guaranteed one more season to turn it around.

So he gives up 12M for the right to sign a contract with someone for far less, why?
He can just ride it out a year pocket the extra $12M and all the same kind of prove it/ backup type deals will be there. Not playing doesn't hurt him any coming off a terrible year.

I don't think the new cba would even allow him to do that.
