Off the top of my head, the three guys I'd look at trading for are ... 1. Josh Jones, Cardinals 2. Riley Reiff, Bears 3. Phil Haynes, Seahawks And with practice squad guys, I'd consider signing Alec Lidstrom (Dallas), Justin Schaffer (Falcons), or Deonte Brown (Panthers)
That's what I suspected after seeing how well AVT did; it was pretty clear he wasn't just winging it.
Again, I don't believe in "bad luck" being the cause here. IDK what is the cause, but there must be some common denominator causing this to happen. Is it the turf? Is the training regimen? Is it the blocking scheme? There is something that is causing this to happen beyond "bad luck" or the "Curse of Namath".
McDermott with his giant red face is a meme waiting to happen. We need him off the field ASAP, but I think we're stuck with him this week. Hold your breath.
It's just crazy what's transpired at OT, but I do think a vet OT should have been signed. Not sure if Morgan Moses was truly a possibility, but somebody was clearly needed. Now they have an army of old OTs soon-to-be in reserve, but should have happened sooner. I somehow thought somewhat more highly of Connor McDemott as a backup, but my god, this guy is atrocious. My biggest criticism is that JD thought this guy was even rosterable. What is he seeing?
Question is Herbig + AVT better than AVT + McDermott. Herbig plus AVT is probably our best 5 OL but McDermott played better than expected at RT and AVT will have no learning curve playing RG.
