Darn. I wish the monkey photo was still there. Did that guy really get banned for posting a smilie and a lemur photo?
Did you watch the third qrt? The offense was horrible. The loss goes on everybody not just the defense. The offense needs to get more consistent. At times they move the ball very well and look unstoppable. Then they go into this mode where they could not score on anybody. Consistency is all this team needs. Same goes for the defense.
Damn. He's not a regular poster so the leash was real short I take it. But, if smilies and monkey photos could get a guy banned, then me and about 100 people are in big trouble in the future.
Yes, but a few lulls on offense should be okay. If the defense plays as good as they think they are, then the offense is only going to need 3-4 good drives per game.
I was trying to keep a thread that was actually good conversation on track. You guys do tend to try to make things harder than they need to be, though. So here is your friendly warning to keep it on track.
Reilly - Totally agree with your assessment. We are quick at analyzing how lucky we were against the Cowboys, yet not one mention of the fact that last week, with all our mistakes, we flat out gave the Raiders as a gift 10 points minimum and still came close to winning. Seven by Cro on the fumble and at least 3 by Sanchez on the ill conceived pass when we were in field goal range. Oh, let us not forget how we continue to perpetuate drives by our defensive holding calls and pathetic roughing the passer (that you ref). We are 2-1 and righfullly so, yes it could have been 1-2 but also 3-0. Looking forward we need to figure out a way to help the OL and STOP MAKING MISTAKES. The only thing that is clear to me on all the comments on this board is that we get beat because we continue to make dumb mistakes instead of forcing other teams to do so. Someone other than Sanchez needs to step it up, defense or offense, and spark this team with leadership and stellar play. I feel positive that the Jets will come ready to play today.Over and out.
You honestly think we outplayed Dallas and Oakland? I have no issue how we beat Dallas but overall I thought we got outplayed and Oakland absolutely kicked our ass the entire second half. I'm not at all panicked about it but that's how I saw it.
I think what he is saying is that even with getting outplayed and making mistakes the team was still in position to get a win. I can see how that might be taken as a positive.
I make no bones about this. I've said consistently that I use the net to bitch when things aren't going well. When things are going well I just sit back and enjoy.
Well, your honesty is much appreciated. For some reason, despite always finding you rather negative, it never seemed quite so glaring.
Given how shitty the OL has been I thought the production that game was good. The fact that we got any yards with the OL being pushed backwards 90% of the time was remarkable. The offense, sans the OL, played good enough to win that game. We couldn't stop the run.
I don't like to be negative this early in a game, but I don't think I've ever seen a group of eleven football players as unprepared for a game as the Jets offense is tonight. ...Thank God for David Harris and this D!
Are you watching this game? You do realize that the Ravens have scored 1 offensive touchdown right? No the defense has not been the problem, the JETS offense has been a very big problem. 3 Defensive TD's for the Ravens is inexcusable. When the defense makes play at the Ravens 30 only to have the offense go and toss it back for another ravens defense score, that means the problem is the offense.
I am 98% sure these posts are sarcastic, with that said.. the Jets can only score against shit teams, Ravens pwned Sanchez, for christ sake the D gave the ball to him on the Baltimore 30 yard line and the 1st play was picked off for 6. Lets face facts, jets will lose next week and go 2-3 .. thats the realty of it.
