We always used to have issues getting that last, close out first down late in games. We'd either throw 5yds when we needed 8, or launch an ICBM when an underneath guy was open. Now, we simply have to get back to ball control again instead of always being in a corner needing a quick strike. The offense should have closed this game out by simply playing keep away but we didn't get it done. We won again but this highwire act is getting older by the game.
The possession where Greene fumbled we really could have delivered a KO there. We picked up a couple first downs and it looked like we would get at least a FG which would have put us up 19. Instead, Greene fumbles and the lead is down to 6. It sucked.
