And I agree 100% regardless however receiver situation goes with the resignings I am confident we will bring in a capable receiver in via free agency or even the draft. There were actually plenty of rookie receivers who were productive this year, and this seems to be another deep draft class at the position. Besides while I love the braylon/holmes combo to death, cotchery is still a solid #2 guy

Ochocinco is really good & depending on price should get some consideration but would never want Owens. Ochocinco did make some noise about not getting the ball enough this season which would worry me on whether he can work w/ Sanchez. Don't want a young developing qb dealing w/ WR who calls him out in public media.

As for Owens: The one year Eagles finally made it to SB, Owens has to badmouth Donovan to the point that he needs to be traded. Owens fucked up & if he had simply not trashed his teammates, he could've been part of a team that can make multiple SB while he's the #1 receiver. Owens is just too selfish & petty.

I know WR tend to have egos but Owens is totally overboard. I don't buy his nonsense on how he's changed & a great teammate now.

I'm not sure why you believe that.

Owens: 72 catches for 983 yards, 9 touchdowns
Ochocinco: 67 catches for 831 yards, 4 touchdowns

Owens was also a bit higher than Ochocinco in Football Outsiders' ranking system.

Exactly. I understand the people that say they want neither (including me), but anyone that would prefer Ocho to TO is out of their mind.

I'd rather we find a way to keep Braylon and Santonio

Probably because Ocho is the type of personality that would embrace being on someone like Rex Ryan's team, whereas TO is the type of personality that will start running his mouth more as soon as things start going downhill.

Also, we saw a proven-vet start trying to force TO the ball this year. Imagine what effect that'd have on a third year quarterback? Sanchez just doesn't need that right now.

I agree that we don't need these guys, but man, this is such a great example of how short a life span the modern athlete has when Terrell Owens & Chad Johnson want to play for the Jets and we're all like "no thanks". The me from 5 years ago would be screaming at you people, lol.

I was thinking about that this season when I thought about someone telling the me from 5 years ago that Tomlinson & Jason Taylor would be on the Jets someday. I would have thought they were full of shit.

Team cancers - there's a reason the Bengal offense seemed to flourish when these two clowns sat out. PASS!

No way in hell would I ever want either of these guys on this team at this point. They are old shells of their former selves, and would whine non-stop if you dont throw them the ball non-stop.

I give Cinco the benefit of the doubt. No matter what you think of Ryan, he def. changed the culture and vibe of the New York Jets...especially in the locker room. The expectations are high and while having fun and enjoying yourself is preached, winning is the number one priority. Cinco has never been in a place like this, Cincinnati is a fucking joke. If he came as a one year rental (assuming he gets cut, I don't want to trade for him) I think he would be on his best behavior.

Hopefully we just keep Holmes and Edwards so we don't have to worry about this bullshit

Well, if it's only on football ability you make a valid point. However, TO is much more of a drama queen. If he doesn't get the ball enough then he's likely to go off on Sanchez in front of all the reporters. With NY media, we can only imagine how much worst this can get. We all know WR tend to have egos but how many of them disrespect their qb publicly?

Sanchez is still young in his career. Not just football but w/ media relations & handling the press. Don't need him dealing w/ a WR dissing him in front of reporters.

TO called out Donovan when he was w/ the Eagles.
TO called out Romo when he was w/ the Cowboys.

Fuck that. Wouldn't want TO anywhere near a young qb. Ochocinco might be an idiot but he's not going to be dissing Sanchez & bringing a whole bunch of reporters in to bring his Sanchez Sucks drama into every damn paper/radio program.

Ocho Headacheo and T.O. can go open up a lemonade stand.
While they're at that, they should definitely make another t.v. show about
selling lemonade in the offseason, it's severely necessary. Fukk' em.

I loved watching what Braylon grew into this year, a great teammate, and
a vocal leader as well. not to mention the great catches. Find a way to keep
    both him and Tone Time.

Well, if we manage to sign either Holmes or Edwards and we need some WR's, I wouldn't mind signing them to be our third and fourth WR's behind Cotch...for the league minimum.

Other than that, let them go poison the patriots.

    Would pass on both.

But from a on the field standpoint, t.o. has always been the superior player even last year. Not sure why some people are stating otherwise.

Come again? TO has thrown EVERY former QB under the bus. That's not the way you help a young QB. Ocho is much more a Rex Ryan-style player. I'd want him if we managed somehow to not sign either Santonio or Braylon.
