And as far as building a "Madden" team, aren't the Jets doing that for real right now? I mean Santonio Holmes...as a number three? this offense could be devastating.
i twitted him 'child please chad shut your mouth, and never compare the jets to the yankees. cmon child plz'
i don't think this team has a real number 3 now. schotty should be able to devise some 2 wr sets that utilize different combination's of our new found 3 headed monster at wide out.
Ocho wishes he was here, and the addition of Santonio makes it impossible. He wishes he was here after we made him cry on National TV on his birthday. He wishes he was here 'cause he'd love the NY media market. He wishes he was here because he knows we're the new "it" team. Most importantly he wishes he was here so he'd never have to go up against Revis again in a big game and come up empty and embarrassed. Obviously it was impossible for Ocho to play here anyway, but this still makes him more jealous. There's no one here who doesn't love that.
its a shame were looking at a looming lockout in 11' cause Tanny is quickly becoming the best GM in the NFL not named Ozzie Newsome. he has a offseason or two to prove before that honestly but i think you all get the drift.
Honestly Coach, I think a lockout is about as unlikely as it gets. The NFLPA is using it to panic the fans, but the NFL isn't going to shut it's doors on all of that money.
i totally understand that perception. both sides are bluffing and when the 12th hr comes theyll do what it takes to keep the money flowing in. but I just hate the fact were not hearing of ANY damn progress and this has been in the works before Upshaw passed.
Well, I did see a scroll at the bottom of ESPN this weekend saying that Goodell was talking Rookie Salary Scale publicly. And we know that this is one of the sticking points for a new CBA, so while they may not be cramming in the negotiations publicly, there seems to still be a dialogue going on. I don't expect them to really sit down at the table to hammer it out until after 2010. The owners wanted their uncapped year, no matter what squealing DeMaurice Smith wants to do about lockouts and such. The League owns the leverage in this situation, and they're going to play it to the hilt. Edit: here's the link: http://www.nfl.com/news/story?id=09000d5d80909cc9&template=with-video&confirm=true It's posturing, but it's something. If the NFLPA plays ball with the rookie pay scale, they'll most likely be met somewhere in the middle regarding player salary percentage.
I get the feeling they aren't bluffing. I see something else going on and it seems to be worldwide. A lot of countries and companies are crying broke. I don't know what is really going on, but I get the feeling that this year is going to be it. It certainly seems like Tanny is making moves like that may be the case.
I think the need for the Jets to sellout their PSL's is without a doubt making them put a great product on the field. In that respect, the PSL's might be a blessing in disguise.
It is kind of cool to have guys who were essentially kicked to the curb by their old teams. Makes it that much more fun when we kick their a$$ in 2010.
Tell me, what happened to Leon Washington last season? ...oh yeah! He suffered a serious injury...and...he's not old. Holy shit! Injuries happen in this league, no matter how old the player is. I'm not even going to acknowledge the rest of your shitty post.
I love posters like you, so don't go leaving. Stick around, cause it will be mad fun when we lose a game, you have a meltdown and become ridiculous with the posts about how much this team sucks and it's the same old Jets. I love that shit during the season.
After a long time of signing no one and drafting sub par players where finally getting into the Biz, Great move Mr. T! and Ocho can go run around naked in front of goodell screaming "STOP THE MADNESS"
