OBJ reportedly said that if he is traded by the Browns, the NY Jets would be an "ideal landing spot." Don't know the source of this quote but it was reported on multiple media sites and I heard it discussed on WFAN this afternoon.
I don’t like him, I never have. But I will say there’s something to say for just simply acquiring as much talent as you can. And he’s a bitch but he is definetely talented
I'm with a few other posters on this. Kid has talent but tons of baggage. He burned his bridges with on NY team. He's just too much drama. So much talent wasted. I don't see it going well for him here.
The Browns thought the same thing...glaring talent versus glaring headache..let's find out if it could work Betcha he's NOT a Jet
I'm sure he and Gase would work well together. A team with a good infrastructure in place with QB and coach and developed draft picks in the pipeline should take the leap. Can you imagine the Saints or Seahawks with him? I think Seattle would work well. Carroll and Wilson would sprinkle their positivity powder on him and get the best out of him. If Rodgers wasn't such a diva himself he'd be a great fit there to make one last SB push before he retires. But he doesn't even like his own family or most women he dates. I can't imagine the two getting along. No thanks on the Jets.
I actually think he would do really well in Gase’s system. The offense is designed to get the ball in reciever’s hands in the open field, Beckham might be the best in the league in the open field I’m talking just between the lines. He’s a bitch no doubt
Ha! Crazy ass Gase can’t stand Bell, who has said all the right things from day 1. How would he react to ODB?
The Jets are rebuilding, and hopefully are trying to establish their identity, they don't need a major diva like Beckham. They need to develop their own talent. That said, they can't just hold onto someone like Robby if he's going to demand more than he's worth. And please note- I'm NOT saying that Robby is terrible, or shouldn't be re-signed, but it has to be on a basis that doesn't prevent the Jets from filling the other glaring needs they have.
In before the inevitable OBJ to the Patriots rumors designed to try to stampede the Jets or Fins into trading for him.
This would be an absolute disaster. His buddy Landry hates Gase so there would be tension the moment he walks in the door. Not worth the headache, trade comp and $$$ in my opinion. Big time NO.
It would cost too much draft capital and money just to bring in a guy who Gase would draw up nothing but bubble screens for.
