The game should be starting within the next 10 minutes.

Your not going to get any work on your other 2 pitches in 3 short outings than you would with the Yankees.

Abreu just missed a HR. Still gets two runs home.

Liriano's problem was not being stretched out mid-season. It was poor management of his innings, and crappy mechanics.

But he doesn't have to be there for six weeks. You're not "playing around" with his career by doing this. I think you're severely overestimating the risk here. Maybe the Yanks just shouldn't let him pitch this year at all, in order to really really really protect him.

Do you really think the Yanks are going to fuck around with their asset here, rushing him? Do you really think that the Yanks aren't going to work well within the confines of health safety with regards to this? Of course they won't. And that doesn't require six weeks.

But it's NOT a panic move. This has been planned all along. You need to increase his innings at some point, or else you have the same problem next year.

And Joba prepared as a starter this spring and has been a starter at every point of his career until last season.

Because no one behind him can hit?

Cano, and Giambi haven't been hitting. Cabrera and Molina make contact, but neither warrants being higher in the order.

This is what happens when you rest Posada on a day when ARod isn't around.

Okay, fuck Hughes. He just can't get past the third inning. He's worthless.

Before I read the second sentence I was like "WTF Cappy? Have you lost your frigging mind?!?"

Ohlendorf looked pretty good except that one that took Matsui to the track.

No, he pitched great for 6 batters. Then the rain came and took too long to stop, so Girardi decided not to put him back out there. Ohlendorf gave up the runs.
