I always feel a little bad for Pedroia. The dude wins a freaking MVP award, but because he's a white guy under 6'0" all anyone in the media can say about him is that he's "scrappy," "gritty," and "plays the game the right way." Then again, reading about him taking batting practice kneeling on a stool while he rehabs his foot made me laugh out loud. Can you imagine if A-Rod did that? The media would skewer him! Just like they were in the hunt for Haren, until it turned out that they weren't. Every big name gets attached to the Yankees--you basically just have to take all of these reports with a grain of salt and wait and see what happens.
My gf thinks he's adorable and loved those old MLB: The Show commercials. I don't think she's ever heard him whine about anything tho, which is good, because he is and I want to continue watching the games.
