NYT today say Jets ignore their SB team

    My dad called me today after getting his mail today. He received a packet from the Jets today in regards to he 40th Anniversary of the Super Bowl Team. They plan on having it on October 25th and 26th. It will be against the Chiefs. The packet stated that more information will be coming soon. So the Jets do plan on celebrating that team. This might be the last one, due to the age of everyone.

    I was thinking about this the other day. They should be honoring the team this year. it's 40 years for crying out loud!!

    Yep,they will, with a PSL fee if I'm not mistaken.

    Glad the Jets are honoring the Super Bowl team on their anniversary. Although I admit that I can understand how the front office might have had some headaches discussing how to handle it, since it is also a reminder of how long it has been for the Jets fans.

    Hey, two more years and it will be time to honor the original AFL team for their 50th anniversary ..... "Remember the Titans"

    They honored the Titans at the Jets-Philly game last year when they wore the Titans uni's at home.

    H'mm I dug back thru the history books & nowhere could I find that the NYTs won a SB or AFL championship. Where did you locate that info?

    He didn't say the Titans won a championship, he said they were honored at the Eagles game last year, which they were.
