I was wondering when the old "bet $100 with my friend" thread was coming. It always seems to be a bad bet too.
Another thing to think about is the offense. If the offense keeps going 3 and out, the defense will have to give up more yards. I really like what the Jets have in the backfield, and have a solid if unspectacular line. The 49'ers first team offense has looked shaky at the best of times, and they have an OL guy holding out. I am not really that sure what they have behind Frank Gore, and one of these years he is bound to slow down.
I'm just going to assume that this will be yet another year that Rex brings the house on 3rd downs for it to be picked up by the oline thus usually resulting in the other teams first down completion.
Everybody knows its coming lol. He never fails to do it. Even the announcers faithfully say "Annnnndddd Rex will be bringing the house on 3rd down as usual, Made famous by his dad, Buddy" on 3rd downs..
LOL.. Funny shit right there!! Sad thing is, if Rex were to show blitz and drop 8 like he did against Brady, it would probably result in more coverage sacks on 3rd downs.
