Maybe we can get Miss Cleo to read the stars and tell us what planetary alignment is best for a Jets Super Bowl! Or maybe this thread is pointless!
This means Clemens is a top 15 QB, we have a running game... 2-4 Defensive players go to the pro bowl, and we get the division again. [/Slight Sarcasm (but revis, harris, and rhodes should be in the pro bowl]
That is absolutely beautiful. Jets win the superbowl in the 40th anniversary of SB3. I like it. Outstanding!
How's this... 2002-Good (Playoffs) 2003-Bad 2004-Good (Playoffs) 2005-Bad 2006-Good (Playoffs) 2007-Bad 2008-...
I've got an idea Champ - why don't you say exactly the same thing for around 15 posts in a row. Maybe then your message will finally get through.
So Champ, the winner of the superbowl this year will be the 2008 superbowl champs, before the 2008 season has even started?
To get this back on track after the Champ derailment, it's actually better than you realise GSourJr, because in 1988 the Jets were a notch over .500, finishing at 8-7-1 with that great win over the Giants. On the downside, that did turn out to be last winning season until 1997...
It is sad the 8's have been good to us; it is the 10 years in between each that is the tough part. Realistically, I think we break the trend this year. Until I see the Jets making some real positive changes for next year, I can not justify having a breakout year in 08. Here it is closing in on the end of January and we still have Sutton........that should say all it has to right there. Currently, and allowing for draft picks, I see us doing no better than 8 wins next year. That unfortunately, looks like the new 8 relationship. This could change if we really apply ourselves in Free Agency this year, though. That remains to be seen.
According to the NFL, the 1968 Jets won the 1969 SB..Thus the 1968 Jets are SuperBowl Champs. But you would be more of an authority then NFL.com
Stop bringing logic to this discussion. Logic is completely lost on a man who has the mental capacity of Forrest Gump.
