Baltimore beat us before so they have the better team than us, so if they lose and we win logically we should be picking before them in any scenario.
It doesn't matter that they beat us. It is based on win percentage followed by opponent's strength of schedule. They're victory over us is a non-factor in draft position.
Has nothing to do with Balt beating the Jets.....head to head isn't in the equation. It's winning/losing pct vs common opponents.
Not if Marty Ball joins Atlanta, because if that happens...... A) Cam Cameron who's job seems as good as gone with Parcells in town, will jump with his buddy to become the Offensive Coordinator in Atlanta B) With Marty and Cam in Atlanta, they will absolutely lure and attract FA to be Michael ''The Burner' Turner from SD, and he would be the Franchise RB in Atlanta. So the RB need goes down the drain. Which leaves them to need a Franchise QB.
Baker....logic has nothing to do with it.....it's the way the NFL determines the draft order. The NFL feels if you have the same record as another, the team who played weaker opponents gets the tiebreaker. If it's exactly the same PCT, they flip a coin, as Cleve/TB did last year.
Are you sure we would be 3rd? And I thought ATL has been ahead of us this WHOLE time... So it would be... Miami STL NYJ ATL? If thats the case... We have a STRONG chance at picking #2 because the Rams have a good chance at beating the Cards next week
I wonder what's the over under of how many times we're going to see the Herm clip of 'Hello...you play to win the game' this week. Funny thing is that was his finest moment as a Jet coach. I have to admit I'm not too motivated to see the Jets win OR lose next week, a win worsens the draft position but a loss and who cares anyway since the draft doesn't seem to be very top-heavy.
KC wins guarantee the Jets 2nd or 3th. The Problem is...The Jets will probably beat KC,,,, and end up no worse than 7th. Yep....Atl is percentage Pcts behind us as of Week 16............ Team W-L Opponents' W-L % 1 Miami 1-13 .536 2 St. Louis 3-11 .509 3 New York Jets 3-11 .522 4 Atlanta 3-11 .536 5 New England (from San Francisco) 4-10 .469 6 Baltimore 4-10 .509 7 Kansas City 4-10 .509 8 Oakland 4-10 .518 9 Cincinnati 5-9 .460 10 Chicago 5-9 .558 11 Arizona 6-8 .433 12 Denver 6-8 .527 13 Carolina 6-8 .540 14 Detroit 6-8 .545 15 Philadelphia 6-8 .571 16 New Orleans 7-7 .473 17 Buffalo 7-7 .504 18 Houston 7-7 .527 19 Washington 7-7 .558 20 Tennessee 8-6 .509 21 Minnesota 8-6 .491 22 Seattle 9-5 .397 23 Dallas (from Cleveland) 9-5 .420 24 Pittsburgh 9-5 .442 25 Tampa Bay 9-5 .464 26 New York Giants 9-5 .504 27 San Diego 9-5 .509 28 Jacksonville 10-4 .527 29 Green Bay 12-2 .464 30 San Francisco (from Indianapolis) 12-2 .518 31 Dallas 12-2 .487 32 New England
The draft may not be Top-Heavy... But D.McFadden is ONE HELL OF A PLAYER... If we draft McFadden... The Draft was a success.
Yeah your right WW85 on how it works, I just think head to head should have a say in how it works because it wouldent make sense to have a team(BAL) who beat up on another team(NYJ) have A better pick. Sort of like how the Playoffs seedings are determined in a way.
Ok... We play the Chiefs next week who is what? 4-11? And the Falcons play who next week? Lets hope its not a team with alot of wins...
