so then why worry? He never off the top of my head f'ed up in that same situation when it actually mattered.

The point many keep missing is that Rex wanted him to score a TD on that last possession, period. Yall can keep insulting me. I understand what many wanted to see but that wasnt how it was going to go down. A TD is what they wanted and he failed to deliver.

Actually, Rex said the idea was a quick-hitter to leave time on the clock. Sanchez screwed up.

I'm not a Sanchez fanboy. I didnt remember Rex saying all of what was posted. I did a search and couldnt find a direct quote.

at times I find it hard to believe you're a mod. I dont "love" Sanchez. I slam him when he makes mistake just like most here but im not going to blindly hate him for simple things like breathing.

I was wrong on the attentions but I still wouldnt panic. If he does that in a reg. season game well then I could understand all the bitching.

Again, you're completely missing the point. The mistake mark made is indicative of the type of critical error that has grown to define and embody his career. He can't make that mistake. He just can't. And people worry because they fear he is still the same mistake prone, incompetent quarterback that he's always been.

    No one is insulting you.

So the posters that were saying fire Rex and get Cowher, he wouldn't have stayed with Sanchez so long, well looks like he might have. Good to know.

Everything I read, the media/"experts" are 50/50 in the QB comp. with many taking the approach that this Saturday's game is very important for Geno and that the ankle really messed up the timeline for the Jets

No one, that I now of, is concerned with how Sanchez is "breathing". However, people are very concerned with his ability to play quarterback at a proficient level. More specifically, most Jets fans are particularly concerned about his propensity for making critical, game-changing mistakes.

I've been a member for almost three years. I know and have seen this posted 1000 times. I'm still sticking with Sanchez as I think he can finally do something positive with this new offense

Fair enough. And that is certainly your prerogative to do so. But don't act so confused by why so many people are fed up with Sanchez. He's earned it. As you, yourself, put it: "I think he can finally do something positive . . . ". It sounds like you don't think he's done much positive yet, either.

Why do you always attack the fans for not having an opinion that matches yours?

As I said in the start Geno thread...

I feel like Rex has a better shot at getting a new long term deal if he starts Geno and finishes in the middle of the pack. Starting Sanchez would need a playoff appearance to get Rex a new deal and that's not happening...

You might as well get the kinks out of the system now with Geno like we did with Tannehill...

Tannehill could have learned nothing from watching crappy Matt Moore play QB...Geno is in the same situation...

If you've seen it 1000 times, doesnt it tell you something? That those problems have been persistent for the last three years, and that its not only a select few that sees it?

I agree. If Rex starts and sticks with Sanchez, he has to make the playoffs or else he's gone.

If he starts Geno, the team shows some promise and finishes at a respectable 8-8, I dont see why he shouldnt keep his job.

The better QB should start game one. No ifs, ands, or buts. That gives us our best chance to win, even if it's Sanchez. They don't know if Geno will be ready. You shouldn't just start him to "get the kinks out". Grooming Geno in the background will help him improve, he doesn't need to be tossed to the Wolves just because he's not Sanchez. That's not how football works. The game of football isn't a drama series on HBO. It's an athletic competition.

Why? Because some fans want a change at quarterback?

Go to any other FAN forum of a team without an elite qb, and you will see the same banter.

That has absolutely nothing to do with the point. The point was it was third down and there were 6 seconds left. Maybe they wanted a TD but not at the cost of getting nothing. When no one was open he should have thrown the ball away and taken the 3 points. THAT was the point.
