That says a lot actually..even after 8 innings of shutout ball he still has an era of over 5 with 32 hits and 14 walks in 29 innings. sounds like you haven't missed too many of his starts.
He's had a whopping 6 starts, and in one of them gave up 8 in only 1.2 innings. He's given up 4 once, 3 twice, and none twice.
Look at Don dropping the knowledge. He's only had a few starts and blew one of them, the numbers lie.
His numbers against Boston may not have been that bad but that was a dreadful start for him. And that start @ Bal was just an unmitigated disaster. He could have pitched another inning in that start against Baltimore in NY (89 pitches) but he pitched well enough for the win. So he's basically had 3 good starts, 2 bad starts and a mediocre start (against Min 5 ip 3 ER 4 BB 1 K). It's about what you'd expect from him at this pt, the consistency isn't there but he's been a lot better this year than next. If he can give us quality starts from here on out that'd be amazing.
Yay! Melky to the DL now too!!! FUCK MLB for their unbalanced schedule which forces games to be fit in no matter what since teams don't make return trips.
