i think he's saying that cotchery's demeanor is completely the opposite of what a #1 receiver is. see t.o., ochocinco, steve smith, braylon edwards, and so on and you see personalities more like what one would consider a #1 wr to act like. cotchery is quiet and reserved and acts a lot more like a curtis martin type than he does a t.o. type.
I'm glad someone posted the article. I read it this morning, and thought it was great. Cotch has been such an admirable player, now I know somewhat more about him.
Man, I love Cotch to begin with, but this story makes him so much better in my eyes. BEasy is going to make him a great WR.
Story on Jerricho Cotchery In Today's Times From this morning's NY Times http://www.nytimes.com/2009/10/09/sports/football/09cotchery.html?_r=1&ref=sports
Great read, I appreciate what Cotch has done for the Jets, he doesn't wear his emotions on his sleeve and he's cool calm and collective, besides Curtis Martin, Cotch has been my favorite Jet since I became one
Yeah, they reported on Rotoworld that he was on the bike while the team practiced. However, they also said it might just be precautionary, since he injured his hammy yesterday and the ground is wet today. Fortunately there's that extra day for him to heal!
That is the reason why most people think Cotchery isn't a number 1, every number 1 in the league gets a lot of press and attention drawn towards themselves, he doesn't so he must not be a 1 right?
Cotch missed practice today, I hope he can play Monday!! He was on a stationary bike most of the day, for Edwards to be effective Cotch needs to be in there too.
i think cotch will be good to go, that extra day will help. but i agree not a good way to debut braylon w/o cotch on the other side.. hope he is ok
