If Strome is out for Game 4, that could provide the opportunity for some fresh legs on the ice.

Let's blame Trouba for TB completely outplaying us. Makes sense. How many shots did Shesterkin face?

How many of those shots came during the 10% of the total game that Trouba was in the penalty box?

To blame this loss on one guy is not a good take. Just ask @Br4d

As opposed to pretending that his poor play had absolutely no impact whatsoever?

He didn't have a great game. No one is arguing that. But you like to blame losses solely on one guy. It's a bad take.

You have been arguing that this entire thread. Every time someone pointed it out, you flamed them.

How is it a bad take to hold a player who was in the penalty box for two goals and broke up a 4 minute powerplay with ANOTHER penalty primarily responsible for this loss?

Sloppy passing, turnovers, and penalties will kill yah. Even so they still had a shot to steal one.

Rest up and let’s get them on Tuesday.

Trouba taking a penalty 30s into the 3rd completely changed the flow of the game; the Rangers couldn't get back in their groove. He also completely fucked up a 4 minute powerplay by mishandling a puck on the blue line, yet again.

Trouba was one of the biggest factors in why the Rangers lost this game, but to solely blame him is irresponsible, and yes I know what I posted a couple posts back.

With that being said, not being able to generate any sort of offense in the 3rd was a massive problem. Horrendous puck movement, nobody wanted to even try to carry the puck into the neutral zone except for the kids line. With Strome out, it might be time to put Panarin on the first line with Kreider and Mika, and give the Kid Line 2nd line minutes.

The Rangers lines are going to be very different if Strome is out. They're probably going to break up the kid line temporarily and put Chytil between Panarin and Copp. Not sure what they do elsewhere but they need to give Panarin somebody who will score when they get a pass and Chytil is the best center after Zibanejad.

Maybe they slide Copp back to center and move Kakko up to that line but that breaks up the kid line also maybe to less effect.

Trouba leads the Rangers in playoff penalty minutes with 25, accounting for almost 15% of the entire team's playoffs PIM. Closest player is Kreider/Lingren, both with 10.

He's the tough guy and he plays a lot of minutes. That's going to happen because he's a target for the officials. One of the penalties yesterday was complete BS.

You loved him when he took Crosby out of the opening series and that's why the Rangers won that series. There's a flipside to that kind of play and that is that the officials watch him more closely than they watch other players.

Trouba blocked a fuck ton of shots yesterday and is the Rangers best PKing defensemen. The second call against him was Charmin Ultra Soft and third was a necessary devils to prevent a breakaway. It’s still inexcusable for Trouba to be in the box for 6m when the best PKing defenseman we have.

The Rangers had no gas coming into that third. It was only a matter when they were going to lose that game, not if.

Curious to see the options if Strome is out. I really hope they don't go with 7 defensemen.
