If he were consistent like you expect him to be, he’d be starting on a playoff contender right now. He’s a backup BECAUSE he’s inconsistent and is 37 years old. Holy hell man.
If he was a .500 goaltender last season, the Rangers finish in first place in the division. Is .500 REALLY too much to ask from a backup goaltender? Last year's stats sure don't make it seem like a major ask.

With the Jets being the utter dumpster fire that they are, I could not believe how happy I was to watch a pre-season hockey game last night!
