I’m asking myself if this is the worst Rangers chokejob in history. This is the worst I have felt as a fan since 1992.

Rangers will probably try to get Panarin to waive the NMC at this point. If not they're going to trade Adam Fox whose NMC doesn't kick in until July 1st. They'll definitely get a good return on Fox. Panarin is questionable at this point. They may even have to retain to trade him.

Too many high-skill perimeter players in the offense who won't take the shot when they get a chance.

 

You could bundle Panarin with a Kakko or a LaFreniere.

 

You can only do that if Panarin is willing to waive the NMC for the right deal.

If I'm Drury I'm letting Panarin's reps know that we're good with him making a trade for himself. I'm probably approaching Tarasenko and saying we want him back and we're working on making the cap space for that.
