it's quite early boss, look at last year, this is about the time when the much hated Penguins started to play hockey. Teams are still developing. you know as well as i do that playoff hockey is a completely different animal and it tightens up real quickly and there's not as much space out there on the ice. more often than not, speed and flash teams as of late get bounced.
i hate to say this but this team needs rick Nash to be healthy, dare i say hes looked ok this year when not out. maybe he puts together a good regular and post season, he has to
He played low 2nd/high 3rd pairing minutes at even strength even though he was the 2nd best defenseman on the team, and one of the best transitioning Dmen in the league. AV acted as though he was a slightly, SLIGHTLY better player than John Moore.
Pump power play hat trick, now has 5 goals more than 6 minutes a game Tanner Hrivik...what a great pickup Nick Holden has been, 7 goals, 20 pts and +16
Aside from the 'Puempel family night' gathering for the hat trick boy, it was amazing to see the number of Ranger fans last night--it's tough when the Coyote staff has to clean up NYR hat trick swag on their own ice. Brady Skjei: please pick up your jock (courtesy of Anthony Duclair) at the nearest courtesy phone. Dan Girardi (continuing his wooden indian play) helped out with a weak stick deflection of Duclair's wrister past Ranta. Speaking of Skjei, just wondering: maybe the NYR's assessment of him (small playoff window) was too premature and factored in the decision to move Yandel?
