The player himself has to make a lot of adjustments to be an impact player in the NHL, he plays a very old school ECAC style of game that gets eaten alive in the NHL, even moreso now with how fast the game has become. He's more talented and has a more complete skillset than about 90% of those guys, he just has never shown much interest in using it on a consistent basis, that will have to change. And like I said, he's a free young asset equal to a top 60 pick so of course it's a good move and I like it, I just hope people pump the breaks on him because there are some issues with his game that can put a low ceiling on him. If he chips in 30-35 points with consistent two way play on the 3rd line this year that would be fantastic.
