I still have faith in Staal. Girardi has GOT to go, even if it involves eating some contract. Addition by subtraction.

How about we give Mark Staal a chance to play at his natural position before we get rid of him? This team traded for it's best center in almost 10 years, and what do they do? PLAY HIM AT THE WING!!!!!

    Agreed

Which is REALLY saying something when you consider that he was the best center on the team who was on the opening day roster!

Lack of depth at the center position has a LOT to do with lack of goal scoring.

Klein overachieved. He was not brought on this team to be our best defenseman (We traded Del Zotto to get him for God's sake!) Agree about Girardi and Boyle. I am not ready to give up on Staal yet.

    • Not giving up on Staal yet
    • I'm starting to miss DuClair
    • Jesus, I forgot about Clowe
    • The Girardi contract is horrendous.
    • Let Marc Staal play his natural position before you judge this one. If he fails, flame away.
    • Nash is the Mark Tiexiera of the New York Rangers
    • Miller and Hayes can get lost as far as I am concerned. They are both garbage clogging up the middle. Raanta will not cost much, neither will McIlrath. As much as I like Yandle, Kreider should be the priority contract to resign (20 playoff goals in 3 years... leads the team!)

Add Lindberg and Kreider to that list.

buyout is the only choice on Girardi- he has a no trade clause.....and who the hell would want him even if he agreed?

If they ate half his contract, I'm sure someone would bite.

It's a lonely world when the only one who agrees with you is Larry Brooks:

"It would seem if the front office believes the Stepan-Brassard alliance is no longer sufficient, the logical approach would be to deal the center for whom the club could get the most in return. The cap hit is more prohibitive, but that would likely be Stepan."

Boyle cursed out the toolbags Brooks and Pat Leonard today...Good for him.

Those assholes were going after his career and at this point Boyle doesnt need to prove anything to those guys. Yes, he was abysmal as a Ranger but our beat guys are such shit...Daily News and NY Post I swear are worse then tabloids.

I am pretty annoyed and upset at how things are unfolding with the Rangers and around the league...This seems like a good year to go win the cup with the usual guys out of it. Oh well, the Rangers will need to do so much work in the front office this summer.

Also, as much as we are all excited to see Buchenevich next year...I am sick and tired of people calling these kids as our saviors. I just hope he isnt a bust, I am sure there will be a adjustment period. I hope he is amazing, but I can't get my hopes too high with this team for now.

Somehow, Boyle was still better at his job this year than Pat Leonard has ever been at his.

    "Stop coaching, Pat..."
