That type of collision between Boyle and Yandle to allow Pittsburgh's second goal is the type of thing you see in midget hockey. It shouldn't be happening in the NHL. We have to get more shots on net. Pittsburgh did a very good job of locking us up defensively.
ha, like Mangold should share that with the Post. About as realistic as Tocchet yelling back "don't make me have to go up there..."
I don't have a problem with the NHL suspending Shaw one game for a gay slur, but it completely sends the wrong message to the players that someone is suspended for inappropriate and offensive language caught by the camera, but violently crosschecking someone in the mouth doesn't warrant a suspension. I think the NHL is trying to save face. Only NHL fans really care about what Letang did to Stalberg, but Shaw using a gay slur is the type of thing that has the whole country talking. What matters more to them, how they appear to the outside world or making sure the safety of their players is protected? How about both? Can't both be suspended?
AV said lineup changes to the forwards and defense are possible. McDonagh's in, despite missing the optional morning skate. Girardi's out again, still day to day with an undisclosed injury. He's practiced the last three days, although none have been full team practices. AV said he can't answer whether or not he will be out for the remainder of the series. One of the potential forward changes could be Hayes coming out of the lineup.
I have no idea how you can put on a performance like that in a crucial playoff game, yet still manage to look in a mirror and call yourselves a professional sports team. That was utter humiliation, and borderline classless.
hey is anyone on the team's mom sick and about to die ? worked 2 years ago, exact same scenario. ( i know, bad form)
