Rangers kicking the tires on Drouin, may offer Yandle +, only because they think they can't sign him Steve Zipay @stevezipay 22m22 minutes ago Hearing Tampa's asking price, at this point, is very high on Jonathan Drouin, signed thru end of '16-17, much more than rental Keith Yandle
Drouin has been underwhelming so far but is still young and has shown to be more of a setup guy than a scorer. Getting rid of Yandle makes the defense even worse than it is now and would be banking on Drouin providing an offensive spark that makes up for the horrid defense. Not sure what they should do here
Nice 6-2 win, but then again the Stars have gone 2-4-1 in their last 7. The Jets were at the game with Ryan Fitzpatrick, Willie Colon and a large group of the team sitting behind the Stars bench and going wild after Ranger goals. <--- NY Daily News
if the jets made the playoffs and the rangers were better than they are then that wouldnt look so weak to me above with mangold
The problem is signing Yandle, they may just take what they can for him, I wish he would stay, but he'll get 5.5mil probably
I actually liked Boyle playing forward down low on the PP, wouldn't mind going 11 forwards and 7 dmen, it would get Mcilrath back in, put Boyle with Dom Moore and Stalberg and it gets Glass out...also Megna(1g 1a) played well with Nash(3a) and Stepan(2g)
Can someone explain to me why Lindburg was move back to the wing? He is the only consistent goal scoring center this team has.
Megna looked good, only 1 game but I liked what I saw. Its like he has some sort of bond with Nash. It would be cool to see a Dallas and New York Rangers Stanley Cup...Long ways to go, hope our boys stay healthy. On the topic of Yandle, its very tough...I think if we can trade another one of our D-men like a Girardi or Staal we should resign Yandle and Klein.
Report: New York Rangers Kicking The Tires On Cam Atkinson http://www.blueshirtbanter.com/2016...ork-rangers-kicking-the-tires-on-cam-atkinson
Solidify the defense. They have enough offensive guys to win if they finally get it together. Stepan showed some life the other night as did Nash, and that was without Kreider
Etem for Niklas Jensen, Jensen 6'3" speedy, great shot and excellent stickhandler, Etem sucks so its addition by subtraction
Great effort from both teams today. Caps blow a 2-0 lead, Rangers score 3 straight, then Backstrom ties it with 5 seconds left to send it to 3 on 3 OT. Holtby on one end, Ovechkin on the other. Caps win in OT. Wow. Tough to beat, aren't they? Great game.
This game is a shining example of what happens when your team has the worst goal scoring first line center in the NHL. How anyone on this board can continue to defend Derek Stepan is beyond me. That open net he missed in overtime leading to the Ovechkin goal is grounds for immediate release.
