By virtue of Saturday's game having a 1:00 PM start, The Boy and his 4-0 record will be making his first appearance in the Eastern Conference Finals!!!

They could've won. It was OT in game 7.

I do think that we were the better team, but lets not act like the Caps were a terrible team. They weren't that much worse than us on the backend and in net. We do have significantly better forward depth though.

I'm surprised I didn't see any "One Step Closer" headlines. I saw a lot of trying to force a remake of the Matteau call with "Stepan, Stepan, Stepan." It just doesn't have the same ring to it as Matteau, Matteau, Matteau has.

Time for you guys to move on to Tampa Bay Lightning talk. Should be a good series, Bishop has been playing good. One final 2nd Round Thought: I said it before during the series, but it turned out to be true: The KILLER for the Caps was never taking a 2 goal lead on the Rangers. Not once, in a single game, even the 3 they won. Imagine if they did in Game 5, or Game 7? I hated that they laid back with a 1 goal lead the entire series. Credit to Trotz, it almost worked, but I wonder if the approach will change in the playoffs next year? (Cause you know we are playing each other again.) Haha. :)

Could have used Filip Forsberg out there...I know it was the prior GM that made that move. Caps are going in the right direction. With OV and Holtby to focus around.
I think Mike Green is outta there.

Too bad he couldn't afford as good a doctor if he had taken the Rangers final offer.

Wow, how terrible was he last night? And by last night, I mean the last 4 seasons. He is definitely gone since he is a Free Agent, but my question is what team would want him? And for how much? Talking about George McPhee trading Forsberg for freaking Erat, he is the same guy who gave Mike Green $6 million a year. Haha. Just shows you how far the Caps have come in just a single season.

As for a series prediction: I honestly only watched a couple Lightning games. They look good, but not up to the Rangers level. Rangers in 5 or 6.
