no no no forget the fact that he has missed a thousand great chances. He has been horrible in his own zone, horrible in the neutral zone. He had a nother lazy, brutal icing late in the game...hes had a ton. He has not played " well overall"...hes been an absolute liability
That was some sight. He was truly spent. He's been great for sure Hopefully here's a spot where home ice pays off...
@rangersreport Last 5 Game 7s: Lundqvist 5-0, 0.80, .973, 1 SHO. Five straight Game 7 wins are an NHL record.
Oh boy. Not good. Congrats Rangers fans. I still feel the Caps have a shot in Game 7, but it will be tough. If you told me the Caps were going to score 3 on Henrik tonight I would have said: Hello ECF! Holtby will have to play lights out for the Caps to have a shot on Wednesday.
Some quotes from Caps: "@alex_prewitt: Ovechkin doubled down at the end. "We’re going to play our game and we’re going to come back and we’re going to play Montreal or Tampa."" Kuznetsov: "What do you want to listen from my mouth? Our goalie is better."
Bold strategy by Ovi. We'll see if it pays off for the Caps. I personally like it for our team that he made this guarantee. Our defensemen need to be alert. Marc Staal when playing motivated is the single best 1v1 defenseman in the league. The problem is that we see the above average Marc Staal like 95% of the time and the dominant Marc Staal the other 5%. Hopefully he's ready for Game 7 along with Girardi and McDonagh. I really didn't like how Klein played today.
I don't mind Ovechkin or any other Caps player talking positive or saying they will win Game 7. That is much better than a doom and gloom approach after losing Game 5 and 6. This team falls apart every playoff season. They need to do whatever they can to break that. Having said that, saying Holtby is better than Lundqvist is a little much, Kuzy! The Rangers put together a good team, but the reason I believe they can win the cup is standing between the pipes.
Due to the misconception that I would rather see Derek Brassard fail than see the Rangers win, I will withhold from making comment.
There are controlled substances that do less damage to your heart than watching the New York Rangers does.
Agreed. That why I didn't get Rangers fans yawning at the match-up. Always fun, always intense. Even more so this series though. The Capitals have become a much better team than they used to be. Unfortunately for them: So have the Rangers.
