this team is so damn good. I mean...I remember last year, I was on here during the rough times along with other posters..bitching and complaining about the size of the team. They go out and get a guy like Hayes..who is a true 4th liner RIGHT NOW. This team is the perfect team for this system. They are fast..very fast...and not pussy like fast anymore. We have trashed some of our defensemen but right now, I wouldnt switch this defense with any other team. Its playoff ready. Really cant believe with the upper management garbage at times, this team has been put together in such a way. Of course, A.V. is the perfect coach for this team..and this town. Very happy with the NY. Rangers....very happy...and as Jet fans, we deserve to watch a team like this..very much.
Well put,, Jay I agree...Rangers kicking the tires on Zack Kassian, Canucks want Hagelin...like ZK size 6'3" and he's only 23
I'm glad they've taken advantage of the favorable schedule. AV's coaching has been questionable recently to say the least.
Two points through two games at the WJC for Duclair. One was a secondary assist, the other a nice goal from in close. Buchnevich is at 0 points through one game. Played well and should have had a few assists in the first game if his teammates finished better. Shestyorkin and Halverson both haven't played through one game. They are the back ups of Russia and the USA.
Listen, I still have my doubts that Derek Stephan is a true first-line center, but there is no question that he has played some of his best hockey this season.
Now it's Fast who comes out of the lineup and Glass remains. Pathetic. This better end quickly a la Pyatt last year. If they had just re-signed Carcillo they would've had a useful hockey player for half the price.
How can you have questions at this point? He's a PPG with elite defense. He's playing like a true first-line center. It might not continue, but right now he's a first-line center.
see your points hack...and he will have to show me more..but maybe...JUST MAYBE..he is one of those slower centers that just plays smart and has one of those careers that physically do not make sense. He might have that IT factor..he shows it now and then. The knocking down of the puck shorthanded late against the devils to bury the breakaway was one of those IT goals...you just do not expect that..but he shows signs. SO..MAYBE.
Hey...no hypocrite here...I was highly weary of him coming into this season too. Im with you totally.
Solid road win, 5-2, Kreider finally showing signs of life...Steps 3 assists...Rangers 16-0-1 when they allow 2 or fewer goals...
ok but lets hope he figures out that he needs to get the puck past that straight blue thing in his own zone when the playoffs come around
