Pretty sure the Rangers did the same thing in Newark not too long ago.

The fights were pretty even, Carter banged his head on the ice, both guys were pretty beat up.

Cool way to start the game, I'd like to have won but that was an enjoyable game. Would not be afraid to see you guys in the playoffs.

I still laugh when people call basketball a goon league when something like hockey exists. derp.

Sorry Seafood Carter was winning but Bickel hit him square in the nose and knocked him to the ice, that's why Salvador jumped in

It happens, like I said those fights were pretty even. Got the place juiced, it sounded like a Finals game for the first ten minutes or so, I was glad to get out of the first period down 1-0, although we missed some chances there.

Every game with the Devs is a war, Kovalchuk is amazing...my son took his broken stick home last night...

Except while the goons in hockey fight on the ice, the goons in basketball take it into real life and fight off the court.

Never hear about a hockey player concealing a loaded weapon in a locker room or getting busted for drugs.

Sykora's goal happened because the whole Ranger team was drifting towards Kovalchuk. He's stepped up this year in meaningful games, I was concerned about him up until this season.

I never thought Kovalchuk would return to his previous form with the way he played when he first got to the Devils. A few tweaks behind the bench and he's clearly back to the sniper he was in Atlanta. Maybe the gaudy contract wasn't the worst idea in the world.

My thoughts, too. Moving into the future when Brodeur is gone, Kovalchuk is going to be the cornerstone, hopefully Parise too. The league is a lot more offense than it used to be back when we built around Stevens and Neidermayer in front of Marty.

    Likely lines vs Wings:

    Andrew Gross ‏ @AGrossRecord

    #NYR lines: Hagelin-Richards-Gaborik, Dubinsky-Stepan-Callahan, Anisimov-Boyle-Zuccarello, Rupp-Mitchell-Prust.

I don't understand this, why take Stepan off of Gabby's line when they've been working well together?

He hasn't been on that line for 6 games, Hagelin-Richards-Gaborik has been their hot line for a while now...

I know, but that line has excelled, Dubi-Steps and Cally had a great game last night...
