I think the Rangers are just going to give Miller the 3rd center role. 4th line wing RW will probably be resigning Carcillo. 2nd/3rd LW is what I'm not sure about. They don't seem to have the money to sign someone who can play that position, so what will they do? Will Duclair get a chance? Will Zucc move over to the left side and Fast will play 3rd RW?

You are probably right about Boyle. The expanded role in Tampa probably is why he's playing for the Lightning instead of the Rangers.

I think that Boyle is being stupid if he thinks that he is going to be able to play a bigger role on a good team like the Lightning. I'm sure they will start him out with a bigger role than he had with the Rangers. He'll probably be on their third line, but they will eventually move him to a 4th line role like he had with the Rangers. He just doesn't have the offense to be a top 3 center for a playoff team.

Glass is a bad hockey player. I don't think it'll be more than 40 games before he is sent down. I guess that 3rd round pick is more valuable than Dorsett or Glass, so dealing Dorsett wasn't a bad idea. Still would have liked to get someone better than Glass.

I don't think Miller was ever given a fair shot. He would come up and play a few games, be scratched for two or three games, and then sent down. That cycle was repeated a few times. I'd like to see him get a season to show if he is what he was projected to be. Worst case scenario is that the Rangers trade for a center at the trade deadline if Miller is bad.

Lindberg probably doesn't project as more than a 4th line center.

Not what I've heard Lindberg's ceiling is as a #2 center

We still need a FIRST line center. The fact that Derek Stepan is the top center on this team is an absolute disgrace.

I wouldn't say Steps as first line center is a "disgrace", but it's certainly not ideal. Not sure what options they have out there they they can fit into the team.

Can you explain to me why they did not pick a single center in this draft before selecting TWO goaltenders?

no i can't, but are you saying a draft pick would slide into the #1 center spot?, because that certainly wasn't the fix for the near term......and a good goalie is a valuable trading asset, perhaps that's the plan.

Not at all, but what I AM saying is that this team has more of a need for center than goaltending.

They drafted Keegan Iverson with their second pick. He's a center.

Hmm. I actually like that trade. Sharp is a a tremendous scorer and Leddy, while he has his defensive gaffes at times is a promising young puck-moving defenseman (and only 23 years old I believe). Staal and Girardi both offer nothing in the way of offense, Leddy gives our blue line some pop along with Danny Boyle. Love Brass though, would suck to see him leave.

I dont know, Sharp was struggling a bit in the playoffs and in the season...I just like Staal and Brassard alot. It would be strange to give up on those two...I do like Sharp and Leddy as players. But is the trade necessary?
