I think the refs clearly missed the non-call on the delay of game infraction--that puck left the rink without touching Doyle's stick and without touching the glass. Huge non-call. But the goalie interference was partially on McDonagh. He pushed King back into Henrik, McDonagh doesn't redirect him and it's a good screen by King. It looked like his path would have taken him right in front of the crease but McDonagh muscled him into Lundquist. Trying to be objective here, not a Kings fan but as you know not a Rangers fan. Just what my eyes told me. You got screwed on one call, not so sure on the other one. _
I was considering coming up for Game 3 tonight but cheapest seat on Stubhub is $800. I could probably pay $400. I remember I went to MSG and paid $150 for a ticket to a Caps game upper level and then sat lower level at Verizon Center for $80 the next week. MSG will be rocking tonight!
I see your point, but did you see Pouliot's, he barely touched him and got a penalty, King obstructed Hank from making the save, seen this call many times this year, alright no penalty on King but no goal allowed, McD barely touched him in my opinion
My son went to LA for game 2, he's very pissed, actually said Kings fans were very gracious to him and his girlfriend...Gardens gonna pop tonight TDK
That is really cool! (except for the loss of course) I was just thinking I need to start saving my money in case the Caps or Jets get to the Cup or SB. Luckily for me, I probably have plenty of time to save up.
don't worry my pals!! a win tonight and things are back in motion. let's hope this is a home ice thing, the boys will come through tonight! I was beyond pissed off Saturday, and gargling gurgling hyperbole Doc Emirck and the rest of the media sucking the king's dicks can continue doing so for all I care. what I really want are some breaks, bounces and for god's sake hold a fucking lead. this thing is far from over. rangers are gonna play well at home for once. the kings are a great team but they are indeed beatable. I mean c'mon, they're not god's gift to the NHL as they are portrayed. Richards was frightening out there wasn't he? it's gonna be cool, the ship will be righted!
Tommy Richards should be benched...Emrick if fuckin horrible, I listen to Kenny Albert on an 8 second delay he's so bad
It's very concerning that they've played well overall in the first two games and are still down 0-2. LA is going to have one of their overwhelmingly dominant games at some point that they've only had for one period in this series. Win tonight and hope Lundqvist has a career defining game in Game 4. That's probably what we're looking at, realistically.
To be honest I didn't see the earlier call so I can't compare. Just looking at the one call in a vacuum, it looked to me like King was pushed or redirected into Henrik by McDonagh. Just being honest--call could have gone either way but the no intereference call wasn't a blatant miss. Not trying to be a dick. Well, this time _
If they don't come out balls to the wall tonight the Rangers they nev er will, hank has to be very good
I think you're going to get a very spirited game from the Rangers tonite--the start will be exhilirating. But they have to do something with it in the first period. The crowd will be nuts--if the Kings grab a lead that building will deflate like an obese guy on a blow-up doll. _
well not that it matters now and has been beaten to death....but from Mac's point of view he said, and I see what he's saying because it appears to be what happened....he was going to cut off King from screening Hank......and to avoid Mac King would either have to A)go right and take himself out of screening position, or B) go left into the crease, where he cannot be.......obviously he chose B. Mac didn't push him, he got in his way.
i wouldn't mind seeing them fall behind and try and turn the tables a little bit with a comeback of their own. The way the first 2 games went, not sure i want to see them protecting a lead.
Spitting hairs there. Which makes the non-call not so aggregious. It's close--not as obvious as a fan would like. It's like when a defender gets pushed into the QB--if it's my QB I'm screaming for the roughing the passer, if it's my DE I'm screaming that he was pushed. _
I agree it was close.....but as others have said, the precedent was set with the call on Pouliot earlier in the game......you call that interference, then at minimum you have to disallow the goal if not call a penalty. Got to be consistent.
Haha no! Can't think like that. Leads are a good thing in sports. After taking a 2-0 lead, instead of letting the Kings tie it 2-2, the Rangers need to make it 3-0!
