Crosby folds like a cheap suit when it matters. Kane is captain clutch. If I got to choose a player to build a team around I'm taking the all-around guy with intangibles over the pampered crybaby.
There are a lot of things about this roster I was wrong about. The one thing is still size and will not back down from that MR...a few big guys up front but other then that, there are things about this roster and its potential that I was wrong about. There are several things that still need to play out and will even carry over to next year to see if the is Cinderella or not. The Brassard line...real? or not. With all the Kudos it has received, points wise, it aint breaking any records. Can they hit the next level next year and average at least into the 60's across the board. Here is something I was thinking about today. You look at Gabby and what he has accomplished this year. Richards at times, has shown he was MUCH better then last year. Kreider still is recovering from the mental scars of last year. Defensemen like MAC found their game big time this year. My point is that the Tort affect is just starting to fully wear off. I think Tort was a destroyer of men...really do. I loved his style but was wrong about that. He destroyed hockey players. While it was impossible for any hockey player to maximize his offensive capabilities under him, it was also impossible for some players to play the game he wanted of them. Take a guy like St. Louis. Is there anyone that thinks this guy wouldn't be mentally destroyed if Torts was here and he played the way he did the first month he was here. Would never block a ahot..wasn't scoring. He had Richards written all over him. The reason, in my opinion, that that's important is that we still do not know truly if these guys are playing over their heads...Cinderella story...or guys finally achieving and reaching their potential. Can be right? A guy like Hags possibly taking most of the year to regain his potential? A guy like Boyle, who at one time was considered a guy to net 10/15 goals a year, finally getting the confidence? He has shown in past playoffs but this all started well before the end of the year for him. He was putting up much better games during the end of this season. I still think the potential this team is realizing now is still building from a new head coach. Guys hitting the next level because they were hindered the past few years. I think this roster is MUCH better then many of us think it is. Outsiders are looking at career stats of guys on this team and thinking the KING better play out of his mind or there is no way this team has a chance. While he does need to play great, this teams...their speed...4 lines...a new found confidence...this teams is much better then many think. Look back at the regular season and the start this team had and where it ended up. This team has been playing great for a VERY long time. This isn't a team that snuck in with 83 points and found their game finally. I really think that's where the "experts" are missing the point here. This hockey team has played very very good hockey for months. So let the rest of the league and the experts think the slipper might fall off...this isn't a Cinderella ride at all. This is a much better hockey team then many think.
Jay I actually think we have good size, our defense Is huge, we have alot of size in the forwards, Nash 6'4", Pou 6'3", Boyle 6'7", Kreids 6'4", of the smaller guys Zucc plays bigger, Dorsett plays bigger, the 2nd line scares me though, but has alot of speed

Far from a Rangers fan in fact a certified hater but hard to not want to see these guys win it, with the tragedies by St Louis and Moore plus just genuinely liking Lundquist I wouldn't be mad to see them win. For all the hardcore fans here I'd like to see them win for you guys.... best of luck in the Cup.

Do you want the star C that everybody tries to shutdown or do you want the star C that is on the ice when the Penguins are trying to shut down the other team's star C?
I wish I betted some money on it. 2 years ago Kings won the cup against the Devils and since then I hate them. I knew somehow they were gonna win today. I don't have a hockey team but I like Devils a little more just because I live in New Jersey. I didn't want Kings at all as I was afraid they would eliminate another New York Metro team. If they do it again and steal the cup from a New York/New Jersey team, I will go crazy. Ef the Kings.
