Had a bunch of horrible years and then some very formidable years, career kind of paralleled Pat Leahy's Jet career...LGR!!!

i must say I am happy for marion gaborik, two more goals for him last night, he's playing awfully well for the kings even though they are now losing.
he's got 8 goals this post season. my two most hated teams are the flightless Antarctic waterfowl, and the waterfowl west (ducks) I revel in any misfortunes those teams encounter.

now, I'm pretty amped for this evening, I'm done trying to stay grounded, I'm shocked by and proud of the rangers, but this losing to the fuckin'
penguins must end this evening. get that headache penguin monkey off their backs!! c'mon boys!!!!!!!!!!

Hey Rangers fans. I have been really busy, so I missed Games 5 and 6. What suddenly changed to give the Rangers new life? They looked dead in Games 3 and 4. Also, because I am superstitious, I won't be watching tonight either. :)

MSL's mother dying brought the team closer, Kreider is flying and flattening people, Hank has been lights out, been scoring the 1st goal every game, McD has returned to form, Cynthia Crosby is taking a beating, like Giroux gives him vs the Flyers and he can't handle it...

    A couple thoughts:
First, I don't think the team we saw last night was really all that different from the team we saw post 3-0 shutouts in games 3 & 4. The difference is Marty's mom died. I know, I know - you've all heard it a millions times, however, it regrouped the rangers and had them rally for a common cause. They are now playing the hockey the used to beat the flyers and have a great regular season. Despite the media and the flutter around the team after those shutouts, I said it then and I'll say it now - We did not win games 3 & 4, the Rangers lost games 3 & 4. They were a no-show in the worst form possible on home ice for possibly the last time in the season. It was embarassing. It was worse than any no-show the Pens have had in the last decade. I actually would nominate the rangers from games 2-4 as the worst professional performance by any team I have ever seen. They were atrocious and we were average. Average looked unstoppable against how bad the Rangers were.

Now we are average and the Rangers are playing like a 2nd round playoff team and it shows. Ever since the Olympic break and players getting healthy we have only at best played average. That's simply not good enough if you want to make a run.

Secondly, a thought on Crosby that I've been wondering the past couple post-seasons. Do you think that during the regular season teams just say "F it, it's only one game - we'll probably lose to Crosby's brilliance, but it isn't worth the effort to gameplan for him since we only see him a couple times this year". And now that it comes to a 7 game series coaches are actually sitting down, watching film, and developing gameplans to shut him down through a long series? It seems like teams over the last few years have had it far too easy to 100% shut down one of the most explosive players the sport has ever seen.

interesting post there joe. it can't be too far off the mark in regards to Crosby in a 7 game series as opposed to regular season games.
the goal he scored in this series was a bad goal that henrik would stop 99.99999 times out of 100, and he had not scored for what 13 games or something before that?
the blue jackets started it in the first round, and the rangers are doing it now.

    San Jose Sharks. The end.

As for the fine, the league had already fined a player for doing the same thing (Thornton on Sunday), so they could hardly let Lundqvist get away with it.
