What is scary about him Jon is that he is coming back from a concussion..its not like he missed 2 months so no real rust..which would lead anyone to believe he is not over the concussion because he is literally playing like his is shooting up heroin...knocking down 4 or 5 percocets..and stiff shot of Jack Daniels..and heading straight out on to the ice. Thats how fucked up he looks. How he has been cleared to play is beyond me..because he looks he has no idea where he is. And yes..Simmonds being on the Rangers would make this team completely different..he is EXACTLY what this team needs...badly.
and Hall read the rumor that Boyle is the worst fighter in the NHL and figured he would finally beat someone and Boyle wins a fight..its a trifecta.
in a nutshell, that had to be one of the most uninspiring potential closeout to a series games I have ever seen in my life. Regardless of what happens in game 7 and if this team were to somehow win the cup, looking back at this game will always confuse the shit out of me. How can you show up with such little effort then they did? The Flyers, who dominated after the worst timing penalty I can remember by Pouliot (who slowly but surely is racking up some of the worst playoff penalties I have ever seen) went on to blow the Rangers out..and nobody can even say the Flyers played that great either. The Flyers were ok I guess....ripe for the picking. How do you take a game 6 off? I wish someone could please tell me what the f I just watched tonight. Explain to me what the F was that tonight. Im dying to hear it.
What a clusterfuck. Pretty much everyone played like total ass. Lundqvist got no help in the defensive zone. It was like watching 5 on nothings all night. And I don't think I've ever seen a team so atrocious on the power play and that includes last year's Rangers.
I'll preface this by saying I really, really fuckin' hate Simmonds but agree he is what we need, he's doing what our figure skater Nash should be doing.....with that said I firmly believe we will win tonight, we are better than them, but the same old tired story, no killer instinct....LGR!
Consider me officially off the Nash bandwagon. What a gutless display by the entire team last night. Zucarello and Stephan both missed a wide-open net TWICE in the first period. I had a bad feeling from that point forward.
I don't like the way the momentum shifted last night and I don't like the way Mason is playing. I fully expect the Rangers to lose tonight. I love Henry, don't get me wrong but the "King" Moniker is a joke at this point. Where is his Marty Brideur playoff moments? Patrick Roy is 86 or Hextall in 87? Or whats his face that won the cup for Calgary---Vernon. Richter in 94...Hank has never had that kind of performance in the playoffs. The King? Well.....
And what the hell has happened to Poulliot?!? He was our best defensive forward, and now he is making so many dumb penalties!
I'v never seen team throughout the course of a series miss so many slam dunk, open nets goals, unbelievable...and once again the un King like perfomance not there to bail out the offesnive misses. Formula for failure, this should have been 5 game series. Agree with jd.....it's not Hank's fault per se, but he can't seem to raise the level in he playoffs (with the exception of a few games in the Caps series last year (we need one of those tonight to have any chance)
