Rangers got no calls tonight, and the offense mailed it in after the first goal, but shit that defense was lights out and Chicago kept pounding. Cambot is the man

Defense fell asleep for the last 20 seconds of the game, but other than that a stifling performance.

Yeah, Cambot really deserved the shutout but the 2 pts. is more important

It seems like with AV the Rangers have been getting lots of calls this year. Makes you think Torts was pissing off the refs

Will we ever play one game where we get more PP's than our opposition?

Cam Talbot and Henrik can take this team to the promise land I think...As long as we can score goals, and our goal tending is good enough we can win

    Excellent stuff

    Am happy with this deal.

This means Cally is traded...time to make Girardi a Captain

Great move. Keeping Girardi was more important than keeping Callahan.

Excellent. Very fair deal. Probably a year longer than I wanted for G, but it was about a million less than what he'd get on the open market.

If we re-up Staal (assuming we trade Callahan and buy-out Richie, which looks likely but certainly not a sure thing), who's going to wear our third letter? McD?

    C- Staal
    A- Girardi
    A- McDonagh

I'm scared they'll make Nash an A. He wore it for a bit when Staal was hurt IIRC. Maybe a dark horse like Boyle would get it if he resigns. I wouldn't be opposed.

Still not sold that Cally is leaving, equal value in a trade will cost almost as much against the cap

No way Staal gets it with his durability issues. You also have the concern of giving the C to a player who won't be with the team after next year since Staal will be in the same situation in one year as Girardi and Callahan were in. The team isn't going to want to have three captains in the span of a year. Richards won't get it because he will be bought out after the season. It will either be Girardi or McDonagh. I'd give it to Girardi. McDonagh's not ready. He's never even worn an A.

    C-Girardi
    A-Staal
    A-McDonagh

if Staal leaves gets traded or leaves next year then give an A to Nash or Stepan.
