NY Rangers 2011-2016 Season + Offseason Thread

Hes not a very highly skilled player. Hes not a great skater, doesn't have a great shot, doesn't have play-making ability. Hes a heart and soul guy. Important to have guys like that on your team but not for 6-7 million per year. The numbers hes looking for are ridiculous for his skill set and production. Not even mentioning that those skills even seem to be on the decline.
Hes a smaller, slightly more talented Brandon Dubinsky

Bolded..not in hockey. Not worth it at all. Any 15g/30asst. guy could hit hard and block shots and be worth that..you would have a lot of 6 mill a year players.

I dont even get his game this year. I dont come away from every game thinking well..no points..but that was a gritty game from the captain. On a team filled with a decent amount of vaginas, this is the year you need him to be well....him. I just dont see it every game.

Tonight...tonight we go against a team that has outworked us almost every game we have played..and tonight is a game I want him to show me he is worth 5 million a year..forget 6 or 7.

I want to see him hitting everything that moves.

They go for the same reason I froze my ass off at Shea for all those years...they love their team and I give them credit...LGR!

He's asking for a longer term deal than Drury.

Penalties on Nash and Carcillo were a joke

 

Staal was amazing...amazing. The ice was a friggin joke. With that said, I wonder if Staals eyesight is worse then has been talked about.

Forget about tonights ice..but he misses on the puck so much when attempting a pass or clearing...on the other hand he is still the master of the poke check.

1st period sucked

2nd period better

3rd period seemed like everyone got used to the ice or the ice was at its best somehow? Just a better flow.

Hey..great win..and would be friggin thrilled if we can beat them again Friday. Just hate the matchup but its a start to playing real playoff hockey.

And..for the record...this Boyle hater has to admit...Boyle played a helluva game and you wonder if its because everyone was skating at 75 % because of the ice..which matches Boyles speed and play..but he was very good tonight.

 

Jay, AV puts him out for all the important faceoffs now, late in the game, the 4th line was very good again,3 outdoor games for us and all 3 the 4th line played very well and contributed points, happy for Carcillo...
