    Exactly! The only thing that matters when hiring a coach is name value. We don't need a guy who's been the most successful coach in the AHL for a few years now who has been given rave reviews by players of all ages and styles that have ever played for him.

    We need a guy who's never coached at any level in his entire life because 1994.

    There is a positive to hiring Messier. It would be such an unmitigated disaster, destroying the legacy of perhaps the most beloved player in the organization's history, that Sather would have no choice but to resign in shame. Then, finally, the organization could move forward.

    Luckily, the very fact that the Rangers set up an interview with Eakins tells me that Sather will likely defer to Gorton.

    Clairvoyant, you know he won't work out...how do you know, this animal has more hockey knowledge in his pinkie then 95 % of these other assholes, don't make fun of me because I want him , you can like who ever tbe fuck you like

    He also has more hockey talent in his pinkie than 95% of these other assholes. Why do you think the best players make the worst coaches, and vice versa?

    You can like whoever you want, but if you dismiss a candidate because he's "another nobody" and support a candidate simply because he's Mark Messier, don't post it on a message board and expect to not get a response.

    I always respected your opinion and avatar that wont change now, you want Dallas Eakins more power to you, I actually have about 5 different guys I'm mulling, more established guys besides Mess..
