This game could have been 400 minutes long and they still wouldnot score...most disturbing is you start the 3rd period down 3-0 and there is no sense of urgency, its time for Mess or Gravy to be coach...
I can't believe people already want Tortorella's head. We made the conference championships last year with a team that vastly over-achieved because it was well coached and well conditioned. Part of a Tortorella team is that training camp is grueling to get the guys in shape, but the lockout took that away. Richards is clearly out of shape, Gaborik is either getting old or in a rut and the rest of the team clearly has not gelled yet. Look at all the new pieces that were just thrown into the machine -- Kreider, Miller, Pyatt, Asham, Nash, Newbury here and there, there's no consistency. It's a young team whose components have had only the games played this season to get familiar with each other AND we're not able to out-condition people. Plus two of our "best" players are playing like dog shit. That's not entirely Tortorella's fault. Even if we do miss the playoffs this year another offseason and a piece or two will have this team back where it should be. This year is a fluke.

Saturday night was the 1st time in about 3 years I turned a game off in the 2nd period. They can not score. Rangers looked good in the 1st (Except for the shity first goal). I don't think they make the playoffs. I DO think the Islanders will. ALSO think Henrik will not get a shutout this season.
