But Richards gets 20 freaking minutes on ice despite playing like total crap yet again. The power play where he just let the puck slide passed him into the neutral zone killed me.
I don't get to watch the Rangers much so I made a point of doing so tonight. There were at least half a dozen occasions when a Rangers player at point received the puck with Winnipeg under pressure, and allowed it to slip into the neutral zone resulting in either an offside call because he tried to get away with it, or a complete reset of the play allowing the Jets to move up, break a play and change their line. It was criminal. Allied to a wildly inconsistent forecheck and very average goaltending from the current holder of the Vezina, I can see why this team is annoying you all so much. A lot of what was going on out there is basic stuff that should be easily ironed out in practice.
Hagelin looked fast, but he's soft as grease and knocked off the puck way too easily. I don't expect him to be able to win a tussle on the boards with Big Buff, but he needs to get stronger.
Cally was incredible, how about the shift where his stick broke and he blocked 3 shots w/o a stick and knocked Begosion down, what a Captain, if 1/2 these losers tried as hard as Cally we wouldn't be in this mess...
And thats a HUGE problem. Ive said this 17 times. Hags and Stepan are the two softest guys on the puck I ve ever seen. Side note------ WHAT ON EARTH WAS STEPAN DOING ON THAT 2 ON 1 WHEN HE DIDNT SHOOT OR PASS AND JUST TOOK IT AROUND THE NET??
its a chicken and egg thing. Is he sucking cuz hes looking over his shoulder or is he looking over his shoulder cuz he knows hes been sucking? We can get on Torts for having a quick trigger with him but the bottom line is Kreider has done NOTHING this year. He's young and is playing like he doesnt belongat this level right now
When will Sather be held accountable for his awful record of FA garbage he has wasted 10's of millions on? Holik Drury Gomez Richards etc. He has no clue when it comes to FA signings, never has.
