I blame Tortorella, his style is not good for these players. Hate to say it but I'd prefer he got replaced
He won a cup with Richards, Lecavalier and St Louis on the roster. You guys are making it sound like he tells his goal scorers not to score. Its not the system that has Richards doing shit since we know how productive he was with Torts in 2004 Its not Torts system that has Gabs sucking since he scored 40 goals with TORTS last year.

Bottom line is this is a very changed team from last year. We're talking 6,7,8 guys gone.Sometimes it takes more than 15 games to come together. It might not happen at all, who knows. I still think the team will come together at the right time.
dont you worry my friend. I already told you, we're in.no worries.Call me when the playoffs start when this shit actually gets interesting. Too many guys getting their panties all twisted already like they've never watched hockey before. Sigh......we're at the equivalent roughly of game 27 of a normal season. Would you freak out if the team was .500 at that point? I wouldnt.
looks a lot like this thread.... it's Torts fault, it's not Torts fault......funny. Anyways....will... not...watch....tonight! (of course I wonlt be able to follow through with this)
Tortorella is infallable - anyone questioning his ability to coach this team knows nothing about hockey, especially those who question the power play.
Hack, you should have had a listend to eddie o and michiletti on the FAN today, you might have learned something
The Rangers offensive strategy is awful. 99% of the time, they just dump the puck in. They fight along the boards for the puck and God forbid they somehow get it, they just pass it around until someone makes a bad pass or someone mishandles the puck. It's why we see so many odd-man rushes. It's like the Rangers shooters are scared to take a shot. That or they are waiting too long for the perfect shot. I'm all for playing the trap but when you play the trap, you need your players to rush the offensive zone and take shots before your opponent can get back to play defense. When they just dump the puck in, it gives opposing defenses all the time in the world to get all five men back to play defense.
Did you guys see Sullivan drawing up the play when the Rangers called timeout with the empty net? I haven't laughed that hard since "Cheers" has been on TV.
