They have Winnipeg, Tampa, Sabres, Philly, Isles in the next 5 and then 3 out of the following 4 are against teams currently below them.

You can't win if you can't score. Philly and Tamp are right above the Rangers, Winnipeg is right up the Rangers ass.

I vowed to my wife that I will not watch games for the next week or so to save my children from being subjected tot too much profanity and visible angst. Think I'm getting Argo on vod to distract myself tonight

Sufficed to say they better go on a positive streak here.

side note....My son all of a sudden as of a few weeks ago loves watching sports/hockey. I'm taking him to an Islander game on Sunday (I can't afford Ranger games).......forgive me fellow Ranger fans.

It should be a great experince for your son. Not only will he see a hockey game, but he can learn what the inside of a morgue looks like.

Are you anywhere near an AHL or junior hockey team? I've stopped taking newbies to NHL games, I find it's a better (and much cheaper) experience to go and watch major junior; the hockey is awesome, the atmosphere tends to be pretty good and I get change from twenty bucks for a ticket. I know that you don't have major junior in New York but there are loads of AHL teams around New York, Connecticut and New Jersey.

thats a great plan actually. I am pretty close to Hartford and/or Bridgeport and would take my oldest to a Whale or Sound Tiger game before wasting a shit ton on Rnager tix to have her want to get the fuck outta there after one period

You and your son can probably sit on the Isles bench, the same as going to a Met game

"I feel good...it's getting better...it's a positive day, for sure...I don't know about tonight, but definitely a good day"-Rick Nash

    No Nash tonight

The Isles offer family packs which depending on location can run you 25 bucks per ticket, you have to buy 4 though. Basically I can get 4 tixx for an Islander game for less than the price of one Ranger game ticket.....and a little more family friendly at the mosoleum with the daytime starts

I'm just crossing my fingers he doesn't latch on to the Isles..........right now at 6 years old he roots for all local teams (Devils included). I'm afraid my Ranger tantrums will lead him to be an Isle or Devil fan eventually! lol

If he takes his skates he probably stands a chance of a third line shift.

Brian McGrattan just got put on waivers by Nashville - the perfect pick up for a team looking to instil a little more steel into its bottom six. Be very surprised if the Rangers don't think about him.

    Good for him:

    Colorado Avalanche ‏@Avalanche
John Mitchell leads the @Avalanche in plus/minus rating (+9) and is tied for second in goals (6) and fourth in points (10).

MR, your feel-good story about your son knowing the PR guy gave me the warm and fuzzies but unfortunately Im not buying it. I doubt the PR guy knows the real injury anyway but if he did, Im not sure he'd share the story with your son. Its a concussion. Good that he skated today. Hopefully he wasnt scracthed because he vomited and fainted after he skated :)

His boss tells him all the injuries, but even his boss didn't know about Nash's injury, Torts/Bellicheck strikes again
