Gilroy is the 6th d-man, not on the top pair, so I disagree with you...Sauer is out for the season, thanks to that dick Phaneuf
Poor Sauer. I feel really bad for this guy. If the Rangers are seriously re-signing Del Zotto, MSG better re-inforce those goal posts.
According to Brooks it doesn't mean a Gaborik-Richards-Nash line but rather that Gabs will be playing LW on a line with Stepan & Callahan. Hagelin-Richards-Nash Gaborik-Stepan-Callahan
I'm in the minority Hack but I think it was an unnecessary hit, and he hit him in the chin...this player is famous for this...
Except that Sauer is known for lack of keeping his head up and proper positioning to avoid these types of hits. Many people saw something like this coming, was a matter of time
The MDZ deal may have had more to do with the cap. The Rangers will have TON of player becoming free agents after the 2014 season. I also figure another two years would solidify what kind of player MDZ really is
Regarding the Sauer hit it sucks but when Mcilrath is throwing hits like that well love it. We loved it when Beukeboom threw the same hits. It was a clean hit, Sauer really needs to keep his head up if he ever plays again because any defensemen would throw the same hit (Except tom poti)
My source says Dominic Moore signing is close, the only obstacle is Moore is undecided about playing because of his wife's passing...an excellent player, great checker, penalty killer, big game player, who scores important goals would be a great addition...probably would send Boyle to the 4th line and hopefully send Asham to the bench...
Clean check but unnecessary, he tried to kill him and the finish of the check ended up in his chin...

Yahoo season preview: Last Year’s Record: 51-24-7 (109 pts) Coach: John Tortorella Pre-Lockout Preview: "The Rangers should win the East and play for the Stanley Cup. There isn't a team that's deeper, save for them needing one more workhorse on the blue line. Tortorella will coach a team with at least three established offensive stars, a burgeoning one in Kreider and a roster of blue-collar players that play his system well. Lundqvist has yet to backstop a team out of the conference; perhaps not having him play 14 games in the first two rounds would serve him well this postseason." What’s Changed: Michael Del Zotto, no longer an RFA, inked a 2-year deal on Sunday. Pivotal Player: Rick Nash. The way the team is constructed, Nash is the "final piece" we hear so much about in sports. After coming within two victories of playing for the Stanley Cup last season, it's "Cup or bust" for the Rangers this year. Player That Benefits Most From 48-Game Season: Henrik Lundqvist. His game started has decreased over the past three season, which has meant good things for King Henrik and the Rangers. The 30-year old Swedes stats have improved and so have the Rangers' fortunes. A shortened season, along with a few extra games along the way from Martin Biron, will mean a fresher Lundqvist heading into an important postseason. Prediction: First.
Guess well just disagree there cuz I want my defenseman throwing a hit like that if the opportunity comes up.
