A huge game tonight...Rangers have to get back to basics...Pick up the forechecking and attack the net, block fatso's vision, and fire away shots. Must be aggressive on the forecheck and keep the puck in their zone if they want these refs to call penalties against the Devils.
Rangers lost the swing game against the Senators, and won it against the caps. This game is going to be packed to the hilt with pressure, I;'d love to see the Rangers skate better overall, and crisper passes coming out of their own zone, devils forecheck has been the toughest yet this postseason.
The King will have a big game tonight for sure. How about forwards score a few goals for the Garden faithful tonight..
Usually don't get too nervous for any games but I'm pretty uneasy about tonight. Almost feels like an elimination game to me because I think the winner of the game tonight wins the series. Gut feeling.
Dubinsky I can see since he's been skating with the team the last few practices. Zuccarello has been practicing with the AHL guys in Greenburgh. Honestly, I hope Dubinsky is good enough to go. If he's not then I wouldn't play him. But if he is it would be nice to have a little more skill on one of the tertiery lines.
Bickel either back to D and Eminger scratched, Bickel scratched, maybe Mitchell? Remember Prust is back in the lineup tonight as well, so you essentially would have two guys that played in game 4 getting scratched if either Zuccarello or Dubinsky are in.
I probably won't be surprised one way or the other in all honesty. Same old story for the Rangers. Hank has to play like a legend, they need to get on the board first, and they need to keep out of the box (they're begging for the Devils to exploit the stupid penalties).
This what happens, before the start of the game .. the PA announcer tells everyone, there is a slight lineup change… and Hans from the mighty ducks skates out and says old rangers and new rangers must united under a new banner .. then out a Smokey hallway comes Messier, Leetch, Graves and Jeff beukeboom. The new team name is “The Might Dolans”
So much for Mitchell not coming out of the lineup...Dubinsky came off the ice with the rest of the normal players, Mitchell skated with the guys who have been the scratches. Zipay's thinking it's Bickel in, Eminger out, Dubinsky in, Mitchell out.
