I hate talking about refs or Shanahan but before the game they showed the Hit be Parise at the head of the Ranger defenseman (forgot who) and it was a straight head shot...exactly..exactly like Prust. Its almost starting to get comical. How about a stick to someones balls like Kolvi to Cally? Is the head more important than the nuts? hmmm...depends who you ask..but i like my nuts.

Didnt really think they missed much tonite.

The game? Its the Rangers 2012. Of course we were fooled again by a shutout in game 3 but this is the year of the roller coaster.

And when did Adam Oates start looking like Eddie Munster? Wow...incredible transformation.

We get game 5...and then get fooled into making it an easy 6 game series...which it will never be.

Parise on MDZ...This league is a fucking joke...Torts is sending a message I see...The Rangers need to bring that fire and hit the net from the blue line.

    SIT BICKEL THE FUCK DOWN

but dude, think about it, when you have absolutely no fore check and no sustained offense for the entire game, youre not gonna draw too many penalties. You have to create you PPs in the playoffs...we didnt create my asshole tonight.

They talk about forechecking too...I dont know what the fuck are the Rangers doing. They could be right, Rangers must have been waiting for calls and these fucking refs never gave it to them

Just fucking garbage play. I want the Rangers to simply attack in the offensive zone.

Key to this series: forecheck the devils back and fire shots from the blue line that result in deflections/crashing the net.

    Its all about energy

yup. Our coma-like starts are an embarrassment first of all. Coming out FOUR FUCKIN TIMES NOW flat in the fucking ECF is UNACCEPTABLE.

And we haven't gotten to the puck. Period. The Devils are beating us to the puck time and time and time again.

Wow just heard Al say that Del Zotto lost his grandmother and her husband passed away this past weekend.

    Tough night for MDZ

The one big difference...and Ranger fans have to accept this...is that Gab being herald as our sniper..and Kovi of the Devils..like Kovi or hate his game..there is no comparison what so ever...none..zero. The guy gets his chances. He shoots on the fly...in front of the net..in the slot...at the point.

Gab is playoff garbage at its best. He couldnt create his own opps if he was starring at an open net with one guy to beat. The only thing that keeps him getting ice time is that other than Kreider, the Rangers have no offense to speak of other than their defenseman right now.

He is so weak on the puck when pressured behind the net. Truly brings nothing to the table at all.

Ok...the rant is done...lets watch his hat trick Wednesday night.

EDIT: And i love how nbc interviewed Brodeur after the game. He was stellar wasnt he? Like the King in game 3? Give me a break.

I'm not even going to glorify Mike Rupp's antics. That's the kind of shit that draws nothing but negative attention to you. Doesn't prove anything, doesn't send any message. I suppose it can serve as some motivation to your own team but honestly, if the most fight you're going to show all game is by taking a cheap swipe at the unsuspecting goaltender, then it's been an awfully sorry night.

Del Zotto, way before the stats got flashed up on NBC's broadcast, I said he had no business being on the ice tonight. Before the end of the first period I text a good friend of mine who I can hold a decent convo with about playoff hockey and said Del Zotto is easily the worst player on the ice tonight. Once he blew the offensive zone keep and handed the Devils an easy 2-on-1 I knew he was gonna be MIA for the rest of the game.

Not to keep rattling off the obvious but the Rangers clearly have looked out-prepared and outclassed from the first drop of the puck all series. Granted I'd always rather finish strong than start flying and run out of gas but it's a problem. The Rangers need to set the tone from the get-go in Game 5 at home, and I think it goes without saying that they need to score the first goal. It's definitely not a coincidence or an aberration at this point.

Very little to build on in this game beside the satisfactory penalty kill despite being without a valuable member of that special teams branch. Same point, they're taking way too many dumb and/or lazy penalties in the first place.

Digressing, the sky is still hanging above steadily. I guess it's somewhat reckless to think they would win tonight considering the long, consistent theme of the peaks and valleys rollercoaster we've been on for the past several weeks.

    KEEP THE FUCKIN FAITH BOYS.

Del Zotto didn't give the game away on his own, but he did give the Devils the ability to breathe easily with some horrible play for their second. The Rangers aren't a team built to come back from a big deficit - if you get two up on the Rangers then you've only yourself to blame if you don't win.

This isn't a bad New York side, but it's so unbalanced it's silly. They're just not good enough to win the Stanley Cup - at least most years. They still stand a chance this year because no side has been capable of being consistently dominant, but this isn't a great team.
