We blew the game away...We completely lost the motivation to forecheck after going up 2-0 so fast

Fucking sucks...Then the OT goal happens right through Stralman's legs...lets fucking wake up and win the next two in regulation. Screw overtimes.

We have lost 7 straight overtime games in the playoffs....................

This is an absolutely crushing loss. Absolutely devistating.

On another note, can someone please tell me what purpose John Mitchell serves? Can we perhaps put someone else on the ice who is capable of making a contribution in any way, shape, or form?

Thats a brutal loss. On the bright side we did take one in Ottawa, it's hard to take two games away against a team as physical as the Senators. That arena is LOUD.

When they signed Kreider, I thought he would replace Mitchell because except for a few slightly impressive rushes..he is useless. I cant understand the love Tort has for this guy. After the suspension, Im hoping he is the one off the ice but I doubt it.

Ok..its all setup for Mitchell to score the game winning goal back at MSG if anyone else wants to chime in.

Crushing loss? I really dont think so. Lets face it..I love this team and the heart they show every game. But this team isnt built on beating anyone 4-0 or 4-1 in any series. You live and die with a style and against a team like the Senators, there is no reason why they shouldnt have put the nail in the coffin and bury them once up 2-0. But thats not how they are built.

Im sure Im in the minority here..especially since MSG voted him player of the game...6 blocked shots...8 shots on net...2 assists..but I think Richards is back in the offensive funk he played in for most of the season. No neat passes on the rush. Gab too. That line with or without Hags..thats no excuse for two of better players in the NHL.

And to add to that...Rupp...I dont get how the Rangers havent gone after Neil and let him run around the ice without one of our tough guys laying out his f'ing mouth out there. I dont understand how the Rangers have let the Senators look like a tough team..which they are not.

I get the be smart bullshit..but there are ways...and for some reason the Rangers have let them look like the more physical team.

We lack speed right now...We miss Hagelin and that line of Hags - Richards -Gaborik

    Fucking 3 game suspension

Torts was terrible tonight with his ice time for his players...In the playoffs you need to play all four lines. What do you do when games go deep in OT?

    Just poor management there...

I don't think this should surprise anyone as Ottawa won 3/4 regular season meetings. They just match up well against NYR, plain and simple. It's still anyone's series. Rangers can get right back on track with a Gm 5 win.

Not as much as we miss Alfredsson with a concussion caused by a horrible cheap hit. Forgive me if I don't sympathise.

Last two games have been great. Both teams playing to their respective strengths; tonight we edged it, the previous time you did.

Did anyone else think that the officiating tonight was absolutely horrible for both sides? Some of the penalties called were absolutely ridiculous; on your side, there was one on Prust in the first period that was a complete joke, on ours, the roughing call on Konopka in the first and the high sticking on Foligno in the third stand out, but I'm sure there were others that were just as awful for both teams. I'm presuming that the refs were sent out to be as anal as possible to ensure that there was no goonery, but they did their very best to ruin the game.

Rangers in 6, and Hagelin out is not helping , that was a big loss, not to mention the game. The Rangers play better when they are down a goal. they have led in every game
and could not closeout, that ends now though, they will win the next two games.

You haven't watched the Sens much this season, have you? Check out the PIMs and total hits. Sens are a big, tough side who like to get physical - game 1 was a complete aberration. Just because we like to play fast and offensive hockey doesn't mean we don't also like to lay the wood.

Also, having just had a chance to watch the highlights again I have to wonder whether Lundqvist's much vaunted deep style didn't work against him on the OT goal. Not that that should take away from the fact that it was a fantastic shot from Turris, but if Lundqvist had been further out of his goal it would have been a virtually impossible goal to score.
