Filip Chytil nets game winner in debut, Shatty's 1st game 3 assists. Can't help but be impressed by Shatty, smart, crisp, accurate passes, right on the tape all night, calm field General on the PP. On the negative side is this stupid new rule for faceoff violations, if the fuckin' linesman would drop the puck already the game would flow. I know it's preseason but at least 20 minor penalties again, it's ruining the flow of the game.
they have to carry Staal right? what a clusterfuck, it's going to be bad enough if they have to carry 8 D to bury him but you just know AV is going to dress him AND skate him in key situations
have you seen what they've done to the game guys? there's 20 penalties a period now. if you touch someone you're in the box. 2 game suspension for interference now, its being turned into Badminton right in front of our eyes. i dont think i can watch hockey like this, seriously. The NHL is the No Hockey League now. really pissed off right now.
The idea is to get the players to stop with the stick taps, not sure how long before they get the memo. The preseason was pretty obscene it's just instinctual how they play. Can't change it overnight, if there's a mountain of penalties each night it's going to be a showdown who blinks first, the players who change or the league that eases enforcement
Observations Chytil had some scoring chances, but playing 2nd line center only played 7:40, thanks AV Shatty great pass on Zib's 1st Shatty lost his check on 1 AV goal Too many penalties, game had no flow Hank wasn't very good Zib 2 PP goals
honestly, well, not honestly but maybe this is how i want them to start for once. the last few seasons they have come out fairly scorching and then leveled off for the entire rest of the season. would be nice to see them progress and then hit stride and manintain it into the playoffs instead of limp in . hockey is getting tough to watch people.
