East Rutherford is in Bergen AFAIK. Anyway, it should be noted that the poll asked who they people thought would have a better season, not who they liked more.
I think the stats are close enough that all it would take is a Jets Super Bowl win for the Giants to fall to 2nd in a poll like this.
exactly. if the jets win a super bowl before the giants do they'd be one behind. the idea that the giants are king is ridiculous. and I can give 2 shits whose town it is. All I care about is wins and losses in the upcoming season.
The largest majority for the Jets there was Republicans. Takes Sundayjack and Hobbes out of the equation and its a tossup
Woody should have done a study like this before he decided to build a new stadium in the Meadowlands, far away from the CORE fanbase.
Until Ed pushes him down the stairs. It's a shame that we're all associated with him when Jet fans are discussed. This is just crap to sell papers, there are no territories, there's probably fans of half the league living on my street.
So 809 people out of the millions and millions and millions of people in the tri state area determine who has more fans?
I'm guessing a large majority of those 809 people aren't anything more than casual fans. They don't care about doing a legit survey, as long as they have enough data for pie charts.
Its not even a "who has more fans?" poll. It clearly states who is going to have the better season. 809 people's opinion on who will have a better season.
Bergen county is definitely more Giants then Jets country. Although since I grew up there in the 80's-90's it does seem like more Jets fans are there. I remember that me and my one buddy were the only ones brave to be able to outwardly root hard for the Jets growing up in my town lol. Most of the team's star players and coaches have also resided in Bergen in several affluent communities over the last 30 plus years. Parcells also being a Bergen native from Oradell.
