If Nugent continues to kick the way he has all year(no reason to believe he won't) than he was more than worth a 2nd round pick. I haven't felt so comfortable with Fgs since Pat Leahy was lining up to kick them..

No way he was worth a second round pick because no kicker is worth a first day pick period.

That said he certainly seems to have found the leg that he lost on the trip to NY from Ohio State. His rep in college was as a fearless unflappable kicker from 50 yards. In the last 3 games we've finally seen that kicker.

 

Good for Nuge. I agree he needs a big game winning kick.

 

the 52 yarder looked like it could have been good from at least 62. what a boot.

 

I am glad we have given him a chance. So many wanted to see him traded. Or, that we made a wasteful pick. The pick selection is arguable, but if the guy can kick like he has been, than it starts to look a lot better.

 

That 52 yarder he hit yesterday was cleared. he easily had another 10 yards to go on it
