K & P respectively, mediocre and untested so-so (albeit the later with potential) trump suck and suck.

 

Weatherford has choked in the playoffs for 2 consecutive years.

 

Question: what if Weatherford wins the NYG's job (and they outright cut Dodge-imho, not likely), would you take a flyer on him?

 

I would trust Westoff enough that if they brought him in he could fix him.

 

Unlikely to be an issue for him this season.

 

I agree rholt, but I'd think Westoff-and-kicker would be more about using the 'leg' in coverage . And as to his 'leg' I was maybe thinking about Westoff grabbing Steve Hoffman to straighten him out.

 

He also blew a kick in the playoffs if I recall correctly. Didn't he miss a chip shot after David Harris picked off Brady. I feel about Folk how I feel about McKnight. They have the potential to do big things but I also cringe when we have to rely on them to do so. Even when he kicks extra points, it's never str8 down the middle. (no "thats what she said" jokes lol). Either way, I'm just glad we gt someone decent in place.

 

Really? You are complaining about his extra points not going down the middle? What's next? His FG was good, but it wasn't high and pretty enough?

 

i would take Weatherford back, but his playoff punting is unexplainable. atrocious.

Way to read my whole statement and twist the least important part. I said that to say everytime he kicks I get nervous. I'm not complaining about it. It's like watching a guy who goes to the free throw line and routinely hits fom the stripe, nothing but net. Then you have a guy who shoots and it bounces around the rim a few times. It just adds drama and discomfort when a guy doesn't appear automatic. Relax. Why are you so defensive every time some1 questions one of our players or coaches?

 

I don't intend to come off defensive to every player and coach. I think every team gets that uneasy feeling when a FG kicker lines up. That isn't just the Jets. I have the utmost confidence in the coaching staff. Not every player necessarily. I'm sure I'll be throwing something at the TV this year regarding our 3-5 corners. I'm sure I'll cuss Sanchez a few times too, but when it comes down to it, I'm glad we have him.

This is a good team and I'm just not going to spend all day picking them apart. There's much more to be positive about. We just have different philosophies. Agree to disagree.

 

I actually agree. We are a very good team. The fact that we're in the SB conversation every year alone secures me with Rex. Im not tryna pick us apart. I just dont believe in being complacent when we've been so close. Folk was suspect at times and a hero in others. Let's hope we get the latter.

 

Shit, those are some sad facts there. Hopefully, those numbers will start growing.

 

I think you were complaining about it when you bitched about his XPs not going straight down the middle.

There's not a kicker in this league that you can trust. No one is automatic. No matter who's back there, fans like you will fear the miss.

He made it when it mattered most. ...okay in my book.

 

He did miss that one, nobody makes them all. That wasn't a game deciding FG though, it was the first quarter and we won the game.
